Ruby looked around, her brain had a hard time processing her surroundings as she tried to avoid flames and from tripping on some fallen roof. She couldn't find Pyrrha anywhere. People were still inside, some trying to lift a large chunk of roof or even walls to get to somewhere. To see if anyone was still alive.

Ruby felt so exhausted, so defeated. Everything they accomplished, everything Blake did was gone. It was no doubt done by a human either which made it even worse. Unless the Atlas soldiers decided to take it over the person won't even get charged with terrorism or possibly murder, they could just lie their way out.

Ruby looked up through the big gap out of the roof. Blood was still falling on her face, some dried but still coming even a little. Her chest hurt so much it felt like she was going to puke.

"Pyrrha!" Ruby's voice was scratchy and dry, no doubt she couldn't be heard over the other people. She gritted her teeth and moved on anyways.

She eventually was on the other side of the building and heard commotion. She headed to it hoping it was someone talking to Pyrrha, she DESPERATELY wanted it to be Pyrrha.

Ruby stopped in her tracks as she stared at the sight. Pyrrha was slouched on her knees while looking up at someone who had a gun pointed at her head. Ruby could see blood dripping down her face and some cuts on her body, she couldn't tell if there were bruises but the culprit had his back to her and she didn't really care about that- her mind didn't care about it.

She looked so accepting of the fate before her. Pyrrha did always believe in destiny but she didn't think she did that much that she'd accept when it's her time too.

Ruby pushed out of her state and ran behind the man, grabbing them by the shoulder and pulling them to the ground. The gun fell from their grasp from the unexpected event. Pyrrha's eyes widened the best they could.

Ruby got on top of them instantly and pinned their arms to the ground. Ruby obviously didn't have a good position as she was easily turned on her back staring at the face of a masked face. She couldn't get a good view as only the nose up wasn't covered.

They practically laid on top of Ruby, their face on the side of her face with their hand reaching for a pocket and put more weight on Ruby as she struggled. Her fist punched the best on their head but she couldn't get a good enough momentum to use her full strength.

She froze went she felt something prick her skin down then through her skin, then an object inside her body. Ruby's heart raced rabidly as she just realized what had happened, her heart felt as if it was going to burst through her chest and even through the person on top of her.

Ruby was frozen in shock, she literally couldn't move. Her brain wasn't sending signals anywhere besides the wound. Her arms wouldn't even move to fight back, to even remove the persons hand to pulling it out then stab them.

They slowly got up staring down at Ruby's eyes with hatred as they pinned Ruby down. Not a word. Not a single word from this person came out of their mouth besides them breathing heavily.

They suddenly stiffened and they looked down at their chest. A darker shade of their shirt started to formed and they glanced at Ruby one last time before stabbing into her side again, digging it into her before falling to the side.

Ruby screamed at the pain, tears pooling out of her eyes. She literally felt like throwing up now, the pain was so unbearable.

"Ruby!" Pyrrha yelled pushing the rest of the person off of Ruby and threw the gun down, away from them.

She stared at the Knife reaching for it then pulling back just as fast. She looked at Ruby with concern written all over her face as she stared at her.

"I'm fine." Ruby said with tears streaming down her face.

"Ruby- I-" Pyrrha stuttered. What was she even supposed to say?

Ruby clenched her teeth, scrunched her face, made a fast, did anything to ignore the pain yet it wasn't fading.

Pyrrha went on the side without the knife and carefully picked Ruby up. She held her back up first then slowly but carefully lifting her up. Ruby hissed in pain but knew it was to come. Pyrrha walked out the best she could with her right foot aching as she took a step every time, her arms felt so sore but the adrenaline made it just bearable even though it was wearing off.

Ruby looked back staring at the person on the floor before they walked out of the wall that was destroyed. Pyrrha slowly walked towards the crowds of people hoping that someone would see her soon and take Ruby before her legs gave out.
