"Finally we're done!" Ruby groaned sitting on her couch.
Weiss hummed sitting besides her. "Good job Ruby."
Ruby brightened up at this and Weiss swore she was looking at a dog who was called a good boy/girl. She herself didn't understand how a compliment on doing something even made her happy. Maybe it was because unlike herself Ruby wasn't in a huge business, and wasn't constantly being watched.
"Do you ever think what life would be like if we decided to do something or not do something?" Ruby asked.
"Well... obviously." Weiss mused.
"Well, if we didn't get pressure from our sisters then none of this would of happened no?" Ruby tilted her head.
"The attack... Definitely would of happened regardless and I think eventually we would of met even if it wasn't because of the app." Weiss assured.
"Oh, right." Ruby rubbed the back of her neck. "We have mutuals."
Weiss nodded with a hum, "So glad you finally realized."
Ruby stuck her tongue out at her. Being around her really made her forget everything happened and stopped any bad thoughts make it's way into her head. Maybe a few made it's way through, but talking helped make it go away.
"Well I'm glad I meet you sooner then later." Ruby grinned.
"Same here." Weiss chuckled.

Ruby's eyes snapped open and she looked down when she felt something heavy on her chest seeing Weiss laid on top of her. She smiled at the sight, she was interrupted by a knock on her door and looked around for a way to get Weiss off her without waking her up.
She shimmed her way out, taking great care in doing so and dropped onto the floor with a "oof".
She glanced at Weiss seeing her still and sighed in relief before getting up. She looks down at Weiss with a smile before walking to her door.
Ruby opened the door with a smile that fell when she saw who it was. Blake had her mascara fall down half of her face, like a movie scene.
"What's wrong?" Ruby asked worriedly. She grabbed Blake arm lightly to guide her inside. It wasn't often she ever saw her cry, maybe once but she couldn't really recall it.
"Yang... She just broke up with me for no reason... I get she's emotional numb and probably doesn't mean it and she lost her arm, something I can't understand but... I don't know." Blake answered.
Ruby felt her heart drop. They looked at each other with such love, kindness, softness, and as if they knew they would be together till one of them died and even if one did they would never move on. Ruby wanted it, dreamed of such a love but to find out it ends in heartbreak after ruined the want.
"As you said, she most likely didn't mean it..." Ruby softly smiled, grabbing her hand and stared at it as not to catch her gaze. "She's just going through it. It was a big thing for all of us to experience, well mainly for me and Yang... You're used to it sadly." Ruby looked up to meet her eyes. "It takes time to heal, I know you are aware of it but I believe she just said it."
Blake sighed. "Regardless she said what she said... I'm not going to leave her alone but she doesn't even look at me as she used to. I want to help her heal, to get better just as everyone else but how can I when she won't even let me!"
"She's stubborn, you know that but just give her time she'll come around." Ruby assured.
"I have. It's been two weeks." Blake stated. "People deal with trauma differently, and take time with dealing with it or some event but she won't eat Ruby... She rarely goes to the bathroom and when she showers she just stands in the shower doing nothing."
Ruby sighed. "I'll talk to her."
"Thank you." Blake pulled her into a hug. "Also... Can I stay the night?"
Ruby glanced at Weiss then Blake. "Uh... Sure." Ruby sheepishly grinned. "I'm pretty sure I still have some tuna lying around if you're hungry but I'm not sure." She rubbed the back of her neck.
"It's fine, I'm not really hungry." Blake assured.
"Also... Uh... Weiss is... Here." Ruby said.
Blake looked at her confused, even a bit taken back but turned around to see Weiss asleep on the couch. "Why is she here?" Blake asked.
Ruby shrugged. "She told me she didn't know why. I'm guessing to just get rid of the stress?"
"You know..." Blake started. "She seems perfect for you."
Ruby started turning red, "B-Blake!" Ruby whined.
Blake chuckled at Ruby being embarrassed. "It's true!"
Ruby looked at Weiss and smiled softly. "I hope so but I'm pretty sure it's one-sided and I'm fine with it. She has her job in Atlas and I live here... I don't want to ever move away either, especially to Atlas even if they gave me free cookies for life."
"Why do you even like her?" Blake crossed her arms looking at Ruby with interest.
Ruby shrugged, "I don't know."
"Oh so it's definitely not because she's a beauty, helping me, has treated you as a sugar baby, and is protective of you?" Blake smirked.
Ruby opened her mouth then closed it. "How'd you know half that stuff?"
"Weiss is famous." Blake deadpanned. "The news covered the event at her... concert for a week and pictures of you two together surfaced."
"I've never seen any of that?" Ruby replied.
"Maybe if you watched the news..." Blake trailed off.
"It's so boringgggggg!" Ruby groaned rolling her eyes.
Blake shrugged. "If you want a future with Weiss you might want to start liking it.... Business people keep up with the latest information."
"Maybe we should stop talking about this with her near..." Ruby gestured to Weiss who hasn't woken up by the commotion.
"I'm surprised she hasn't even woken up with you pubescent voice." Blake grinned walking past Ruby.
"My what- Blake my voice isn't like a child!" Ruby huffed. "I have a very grown adult voice!" Ruby walked after Blake who was heading to her guest room/gaming room. She had an extra bed in there so if she felt to tired she could just go to bed in there.
"Whatever you say." Blake chuckled. "Don't forget to talk with Yang by the way... or visit her either..." Blake informed before shutting the door closed.
Ruby sighed as she walked back to the living room. Her chest felt so heavy from the lack of distractions. She didn't even know how she would help Yang when she can't even help or take care of herself anymore. She'll give Yang advice then proceed not to even listen for herself.
She stood right outside the living room and felt the feeling evaporate immediately when she looked at Weiss. It left as quickly as it came when she realized she might just like her more or even depend on her and others simply to distract herself from feeling empty. She didn't want to simply like her or want to date her because of it.
Not that she would anyways. She knows she couldn't ever ask her to go out with her, not with everything that is happened and everyone still grieving.
