Weeks had passed, and it was now June 23rd, the day before the final task. Y/N couldn't be more nervous-or excited, she really didn't know. She just knew butterflies would make themselves present with every passing day.

Tomorrow was the day she would be able to prove herself, let alone possibly win one of the most traditional wizarding world events. She and Cedric had been practicing together in the courtyard when they could, sometimes attracting crowds as they casted spells.

Both thought they were well prepared, but with this tournament anything could happen. There hasn't been a death yet since the tournament was put on hold, but that didn't mean one wouldn't happen.

Fleur and Viktor sometimes joined them when they could, the four champions testing each other's athletic and magical abilities. Usually, they would practice on the Quidditch Pitch when it was all of them, seeing as though the Courtyard was too small for the four of them to fully show their capabilities.

Crowds usually filled the stands when they practiced, everyone eager to see what the champions had in store for the last task.

At the front of the stands, Hermione and Y/N's friends would sit front and center, never missing a second to cheer her on. Harry and Ron would often fake comment on the practice like they were the commentators, always earning a few laughs from the group of friends as they watched the champions below.

Since it was the last day they could practice, the stands of the Quidditch pitch were filled as they waited for the champions to show for their daily ritual, it quickly becoming an everyday occurrence. Hermione always made sure to get to the stands super early with Corey and Sofia, the three making sure they got them and their friends the best seats to watch.

Sure enough, within minutes, every seat was pretty much filled. Everyone watched the field as they saw Cedric and Y/N walk onto the field from one side, Viktor and Fleur coming from the other.

"You ready," Cedric asked, the two making their way towards the middle of the field. Y/N nodded, "Always," her eyes scanning the field. They immediately fell to the front of the third stand, the sight of Hermione looking at her with a smile making tingles shoot throughout her body.

The bushy-haired girl sent her a wave with her beaming smile, Y/N laughing as she waved back at the adorable gesture of her girlfriend. Her eyes moved next to Hermione, the sight of all of her friends watching causing her to smile. She made eye contact with Corey, the boy cheering for her and Cedric as they walked onto the field.

"Y/N, I'm your biggest fan!"

Y/N snickered at the boy as she playfully rolled her eyes, Cedric laughing next to her. The stands were filled in cheers and chants as the champions approached each other at the center of the field, all of them giving each other a smile. Fleur pulled Y/N into a hug, the girls quick to embrace each other.
