꧁꧂꧁꧂꧁꧂꧁꧂"For the love of Merlin, Ron, eat like a proper human!"
Ron looked at Y/N with an offended look as he stopped the chicken leg a few inches from his mouth.
"I'm hungry!"
"When aren't you," Y/N said as she rolled her eyes, the boy going back to stuffing his face as Corey sat next to him with an amused look at the banter between his two friends. Corey patted Ron's shoulder.
"Don't worry, Ronnie. I get that a boy needs to eat."
"Thank you, Corey," Ron said with a sarcastic smile as he glared at Y/N from across the table. The girl rolled her eyes as she took her phone out of her robe pocket, unlocking it as she scrolled through her alerts. Most of them were her friends and parents-text messages. Her eyes scanned through the messages for a few minutes, nothing really catching her attention.
She was still looking down at her phone oblivious to someone walking up behind her, the person covering her eyes with their hands as she felt someone's breath near her ear, fanning it. Her eyebrows furrowed in confusion as she froze.
"Guess who," the voice said softly, a smile immediately coming to Y/N's face as soon as she heard the familiar voice.
"Hey Mione," she said as the girl's hands fell from her eyes back to her sides, Y/N's eyes connecting with hers as smiles tugged at the corners of both of their lips. Hermione brightly smiled at Y/N as the two stared at each other, oblivious to the fact that Ron and Corey were watching from across the table with small smirks as they gave each other a knowing glance.
"How long do you think it'll take them to realize...?"
"Oh, a few months I reckon," Ron said as he and Corey whispered to each other, the both of them chuckling at the two girls in front of them. Hermione slowly sat down in the seat next to Y/N as she pulled her in for a quick side hug before they both pulled away, turning to the smirking boys across the table.
"What're you two idiots smirking about," Y/N said as she gave them skeptical looks. Both of the boys looked at each other for a moment before they each shrugged innocently. Hermione watched with her eyebrows furrowed together in confusion.
"You two really are odd," she said, Y/N nodding her head in agreement. The boys only chuckled in response as the two girls went back to turn to each other.
"How was your first day, (Y/N/N)?"
"Oh you know, fine," Y/N said before shooting Ron a glare, "until Mr. Grumpy here decided to give our whole Divination class an essay as homework because he couldn't keep his temper under control."
