so a few minutes ago i was on body positivity tiktok and it boosted my confidence like a hell of a lot. then i was in the closet searching for my other sock when i had the idea to make this chapter so here you go i guess lol :)

kurapika and leorio were out for coffee, to discuss business plans. you didn't mind, though. no hard feelings; everyone needs their time with others.

the two just finished discussing when kurapika mumbled, "i hope y/n is doing okay..."

it was barely audible, but loud enough for leorio to hear.

"you really love them, don't you?" leorio asked, setting down his coffee mug.

"of course i do. what's not to love about them?"

kurapika began to ramble.

"their smile is simply angelic. their smile could cure all of the sadness i've ever felt,"

"their eyes sparkle like i've never seen before. they're the most loving [your eye colour] eyes on this earth,"

"their skin is like silk. the softest i've ever felt. there isn't a single flaw anywhere. their freckles and stretch marks are simply the cutest."

"ive never truly been at peace until i met their,"

leorio sat and listened, drinking his coffee. the way his great friend talked about his lover made him smile.

"they take such good care of me all the time. yhey always makes sure i eat enough, that i get a full night sleep, that i'm drinking enough water. they won't go a day without making sure i'm doing okay."

"they're just so amazing in every way. i don't know what i did to deserve them."

kurapika stopped, and sipped his coffee.

"kurapika," leorio began, "i don't think i've ever heard anyone talk so greatly about a person for so long. they really do mean a whole lot to you."

"they do," kurapika stated.

"if you love y/n that much then i think you should consider marrying them." leorio said, catching kurapika slightly off guard.

"i have considered it. i really want to propose, but i don't know how. i dont even know if they would say yes."

"i bet they would say yes. they clearly love you a whole bunch. i don't see why they wouldn't."

"i suppose you're right. but how would i even start? i want to get them the perfect ring. i want to propose at the perfect place. i don't want anything to be less than amazing for them, y'know?"

"kurapika, chill out. i'm sure they'll love it either way. besides killua, gon, and i can help you out. i'm positive you'll be able to pull it off."

"if you say so," kurapika checked his watch, "oh dear. we should probably head back home now. y/n will worry if i'm gone too long."

"fine by me, i'll see you later man," leorio waved goodbye.

"see you," kurapika said, also waving.

the two left a 10 dollar tip each on the table and headed their separate ways.

the blonde stepped into his car and began driving home.

soon after, he arrived back home. he took the keys out of the ignition and walked through the door.

"y/n! i'm back!" kurapika called, waiting for your response.

"welcome back kurapika!" you called back.

kurapika set his keys on the kitchen island and sprinted over to your room. he ran right in and flopped onto your bed, cuddling up against you.

"how was it?" you ask.

"it was good! i missed you a lot, though." kurapika said, nuzzling his head into the crook of your neck.

"you weren't gone for that long," you stated, chuckling a bit.

"hey, y/n?" kurapika began.

"hm?"

"you'll stay by my side forever right? i don't want you to leave." kurapika pouted.

"i'm not going anywhere, babe. i don't think i ever want to stop being your girlfriend." you reassure him, holding his chin up with your index finger and caressing his cheek with your thumb.

"good. because i'm not letting you break up with me." he once again pouted, cuddling even closer to you, as if he wasn't already close enough.

"i love you, y/n," kurapika says

"i love you too kurapika." you repeat back, cupping his cheeks in your hands and giving him a small peck on the lips

it's been so long since i posted omfg. i had started a chapter but i never anticipated how long it was gonna take me to write. gladly i thought of this idea. i managed to write it only in two days so that's good.
i made it a goal for myself to write a hell of a lot more this year so expect more uploads lol. usually the longer they are the longer they'll take so :)

anyways i hope you had a happy new year
