Chenoo's Attack

Chenoo's attacks have surprisingly stopped, it's been a week and not one raid has happened. The tribe believes that Chenoo has had enough of the killings of his pack and has finally moved on. They saw this as a time to celebrate. First Land would be open again and the constant stress would finally be at ease. Elias and Knox wants to throw a celebratory party in the town hall. Regal seems pretty cheery as well so I'm happy for them.

Just like clockwork, once we thought things would get better, something decides to ruin the mood. In this case, it was Chenoo and his pack with at least 20 carnos under his rage. Everyone was inside the town hall, cheering away, laughing, dancing. Me and Regal were just in our own little corner simply eating and talking the night away when we heard Chenoo's roar in the distance, Ricky and Knox were the first to investigate what was happening before we heard yelling and the bellows of the horned bulls. That's when everyone got on high alert. Regal wasted no time rushing to help out, I tried going with him but he told me to stay here. Whatever is happening, it doesn't sound good. We have the town hall on lock down, everyone in corners, guards at the door, Elias trying to keep everyone calm. Wither stays seated next to me, watching the doors intently.

The mighty Chenoo has been defeated, once and for all. Everyone is joyous but Elias seems more lost with the death of the creature. The town hall was also partially destroyed during the attacks. While we waited in the town hall, a carno crashed into the wall, causing the torches to fall and catch flame. The people tried to put it out before it got bigger but the carnos just kept coming. Wither, just like his father, rushed to defend the tribe.

While everyone was handling the carnos, my main focus was finding Ricky and Regal, I was worried that they were injured or worst. Ricky and Regal were resting by the far ends of the gates, Regal had a bad bite on his shoulder Ricky was keeping him awake and making sure he was safe. The carnos got into the karakul barn, slaughtered them all and then there was Chenoo himself, standing in the middle of it all watching the chaos and destruction his pack was causing.

Fires were caught on buildings and in the snowy landscape, there were bright red flames dancing away. When I looked at Chenoo again, that's when the idea came to mind. The idea to set the animal to flame. Ricky stayed with Regal as I got a bow from the weaponry storage. Despite having some damages done to it, the building was still standing strong and the items in it were left untouched. I got the bow from one of the storage boxes and wrapped it with thatch so it could catch. I caught the flames onto it before getting on top of the building. Chenoo and his posse didn't notice, at that moment they were concerned with the larger group in the town hall. The hall was completely caught and the carnos were getting in. I had to get an accurate shot and I didn't. I aimed for the head but instead it hit his thighs, his fur still caught aflame and it spread across him quickly.

Chenoo's first reaction was to attack the flame before he realized it wasn't something that he could fight. He flew into a rage causing his minions to become confused. This gave enough time for Alex to release the dogs from their kennels and they joined the fight. With Chenoo still on fire, he wasn't the giving the carnos the rage they needed to fend off the attacks. The men shot arrow after arrow into Chenoo before he was down completely, closing his eyes with a final breath, soon after the carnos fell as well. It was finally over.

When I climbed down from the building, a remaining carno came after me, Wither jumped onto his back and prevented him from harming me. I was knocked off the building and it did a toll to me. My back and head has been hurting ever since. Wither had a lot more to learn about fighting but he fought bravely. Dakota gave him a hand and they brought the carno down together.

Knox came to help me and took me to the health care facility, it was also wrecked but the healers were still making it work. Still resting in bed but feeling a bit better, Wither has been keeping me happy and laughing while here, so has Regal, we share a room.
