Ha, Hero Zulu

That was unexpected, Zulu hasn't even been here a month and now he is a hero to our tribe, so much so they made a statue of him. How did this happen? Well, late at night while Zulu was resting soundly by my bed, a clowder of big toothed cats decided to attack the livestock. Somehow Zulu's big butt managed to fit through the window, he jumped the fence of the village and went to the rescue. Once I had put on my shoes and went rushing out with only a spear, my main fear was that Zulu would be mistaken as an attacker but when I got there, Zulu was being pampered by the tribe's farm hand named Diltion. He was rambling on about how Zulu had saved him.

You could see on his face how proud Zulu was of himself. He managed to save Diltion, kill two sabers and chase off the other two before rounding up the living sheep back into the pen in less than 5 minutes! Incredible!

Zulu marched up to me and sat down. I rewarded him with a tight hug. When Eita, Jaecer and the rest of the defenders came out with their weapons, Zulu was getting his cheeks stuffed with mutton by the grateful people.

This morning, Elias named Zulu "Animal Defender of The Tribe" and wrapped a full white cape, made of the giant badger, purlovia's fur. I took it to the tribe's butcher, his name is Darwin and had him turn it into a collar instead so it wouldn't get caught on branches when Zulu went hunting or if he needed to jump out the window again. What an animal.

My oh my, the love hasn't stopped yet, people have been rewarding Zulu with more gifts. He was giving a bone of the colossal boar, the daeodon, as a flavored toy. He was giving a bracelet made of mammoth wool, laced with saber teeth and it was perfectly fitted onto his front right paw. I was given beautiful pearls to decorate my house with. There isn't a currency in our tribe, we all do our work that benefits and feed each other but these gifts were valuable just because it showed respect from the tribe and they are quite pretty as well so me and Zulu both enjoy them.
