Taming Zulu

I cannot believe how smooth that went, the injured wolf is kept safely in a secure location, comfortable and is being fed. I will wait until he is healed to begin training so in case poison arrows have to be used, it won't be fatal.
-
It's been a week and the wolf has healed nicely, time for training but first, he needs a name, you can't bond without a name. I decided to name him Zulu.

Zulu is more docile but not tamed, he would only allow you to get so close. I wondered how to tame him, maybe we can start by hand feeding so I tried even though it was risky. He was a snarling mess and almost took my fingers when he snatched up the karakul mutton from my hand, this is going to be a challenge.

-
Well, Zulu is responding to his name now, that's a great start and he is no longer as aggressive before. I can give him a pat on the head as well, it took a week of hand feeding but here we are.

I want Zulu to trust me more, to not feel like a prisoner so I got the ropes and tied it around his neck carefully before taking him on a walk in the surrounding village farm lands. He was a curious wolf and seemed more at ease than being locked away. I think I'll continue this for another week.

-
Two weeks with Zulu and now he is responding to commands, he comes when called, he sits and he attacks. We plan on taking him for a true hunt tomorrow to see how he does.
