The Taming of Whiplash

This is not good, not good at all, the giant vultures have moved from the village and onto the fields our livestock nestle in. The sheep had just given birth to their offspring. They were exhausted most of the time and of course little lambs would be easy pickings to argents.

We demolished the old barn and created a new one where it stood. It was larger so the sheep and their lambs would have enough room for now. We got them moved into it until these darn birds cleared up.

I now have a giant vulture called the Argentavis part of our family. Just like they were with Zulu, the tribe mates are not too happy with his arrival but let me go back, how did we get him?

Well, one morning Whiplash, the name of my argent, decided to go after a women in the village. Garvas, the little warrior he is, decided to use a whip to hit the bird. Garvas got a few good hits in before Whiplash had turned around, grabbed the whip with his beak, yanked on it as he flew off with Garvas still holding on. I don't know why he didn't let go sooner.

Zulu to the rescue, once again, climbed on top of a roof before launching himself at the Argentavis and they both came crashing to the ground with Zulu on top. Whiplash wasn't done yet. He clawed and screeched, trying to get up before the defenders took poison arrows and knocked him unconscious. They planned on just throwing him into the water before he could awake but I couldn't allow that to happen, besides, a flyer could be useful.

Whiplash, just like Zulu was fed and cared for until he fully became conscious again. I was the one doing most of the feeding, everyone else kept their distant. Garvas wanted to kill Whiplash himself. It is, what it is. Whiplash would have to prove himself before they could trust him, even Zulu wouldn't like me going in alone with Whiplash.

Whiplash is a handsome boy. His base color was white with black markings patterning and black wing tips.
-
Whiplash has become tamed rather quickly, when I took him out of his holding space, he would follow me in the air with ease. He would land when I told him to do so. An attacker in the air would be a worthy battle assistant.
