The moment I saw Catalina at the coffee shop earlier, made me nervous. I haven't seen her since the moment we signed our divorce papers. I was a terrible husband to her.

I couldn't give her enough time, because my work was very demanding. I knew she wasn't happy, and I couldn't make her happy anymore. It hurts. We were so young when we got married.

We had a lot of things that we wanted that we couldn't do. "Sir, we have to leave for the airport," Neil said. "Alright. Is the car ready?" I replied.

"Yes sir, this way please," Neil said as I prepared to get up and leave my hotel room.

I was here in Chicago for a business summit. I need to return back to Singapore as soon as possible because I have to meet with our new Malaysian investors. We were at the lobby, waiting at the car when I noticed that Neil was acting weird.

"Neil, is there something wrong?" I asked. He looked up at me, evident shock in his eyes.

 "Sir, I-" He stuttered.

"Would you please calm down Neil and tell me what happened?" I said calmly. "Miss Chu is returning to Singapore, sir," He said, letting a shaky breath out.

He knew that the topic was sensitive to me, and he always made sure that it wasn't being brought up.

"She's coming back for good?" I asked.

" I believe so, sir, tons of articles have been posted about her returning home." He said. The media didn't know that we parted ways four years ago.

I didn't want to risk both of our company's image, and I also didn't want the press following us wherever we go because of it.

I must admit, even though it has been four years, I still can't seem to move on with our split. It was a very hard decision, but I had to do it. I failed in making her happy. I hurt her.

Flashback

Catalina Anne

It was already 10:30, and Yukhei just got home. He has been working late for the past two weeks, and I admit I don't like it. When we got married he promised me that he'd spend time with me no matter what, but it seems like he's drowned himself with work.

I was in the living room, with a pounding headache. I was waiting for him to come home. I missed him so much. I had severe headaches for the past week, and I plan on visiting my doctor tomorrow. The door opened, and I heard the maid greeting him.

"Hi, how are you?" I stood up from the sofa, still feeling dizzy, but I managed to put myself together. He looked tired. Bags underneath his eyes, clearly evident that he hasn't been getting enough sleep.

He went straight to the kitchen, not even acknowledging my presence. I followed him to the kitchen. "Yukhei, is everything alright with you?" I asked with full concern.

He just drank his water. "I was hoping that maybe you could accompany me to the doctor's tomorrow?" I said, sounding hopeful.

He stopped drinking his water, "No, I can't." He replied, sounding tired.

"Come on, love, you've been working nonstop and we barely spend time togeth--" Before I could even finish my sentence he cut me off.

"For god's sake Catalina, please stop. I'm busy, and I can't accompany you tomorrow. I have important things to do," He said with obvious anger in his voice.
