Dejun was already there when Yukhei arrived. There were about ten armed men surrounding the house. "Xuxi, here," Dejun said, as he passed him a gun.
"Any update on the inside?" Yukhei asked. "Not yet. But I already asked them to look into it." "Why don't we just go inside now?" Yukhei said, as he feared for his wife's life. "
Xuxi, we don't know the risks yet. Better safe than sorry," Dejun tried to make him understand. Just then, Dejun walkie-talkie started buzzing.
"Sir, hostage's seated at the main hallway. Suspect with a handgun, possible grenades, and knives. Has two men on standby," the radio said.
"Xuxi, be ready. We'll be enteri-" Before Dejun was able to finish his sentence, multiple gunshots could be heard.
Yukhei immediately ran towards the entrance, leaving Dejun off guard. The hired men were quick to follow, as they held their guns.
"Wong Xiyi, come out!" Yukhei yelled. Then appeared a figure from the darkness, holding his dear wife.
"Welcome, brother," Xiyi replied. There he saw his precious wife, scarred and bleeding. There was a visible scar on her forehead, and she was bleeding on her right arm.
"Catie," Yukhei said, as he saw his wife, distress showed all over her face.
"Xuxi, please, he's armed," Catie said, while tears were streaming down her face.
Yukhei couldn't hold in his anger anymore and pointed the gun at the man. "Let my wife go," He said. Xiyi's grip on Catie just become tighter as he replied, "
No,no brother. You don't know how long I've waited for this moment," Xiyi said. "I'm giving you five counts." The younger boy replied.
"One." Yukhei started. "Xuxi, please no, there must be some other way," Catalina exclaimed.
"Two,"
"Xuxi, I'm begging you,"
"Three, don't make me reach to five, Wong Xiyi,"
"Four..... and Five."
You leave me no choice, Yukhei thought to himself, as he aimed at the window, causing Catalina to flinch.
"Is that all you can do, Yukhei? As always a weakling," Xiyi remarked. "Aren't you the one who should be called a weakling? Running away from your responsibilities?" Xuxi retorted back, his gun still aimed at his brother.
"Oh brother, you indeed are just like father," Xiyi replied, as he put his other hand inside his pocket. "At least, I never did anything illegal, or anything to disgrace my family," Yukhei said.
Yukhei's statement angered the older boy. To this, Xiyi shot the vase beside Yukhei. "Xuxi, please," Catalina said, her voice getting hoarse from all the screaming.
"Why you're mad now that I'm saying the truth?" Yukhei replied. "You were always favored by mother, always treated like a king," Xiyi started to speak until Yukhei cut him off.
"Are you dead serious right now? Do you hear yourself? And you wonder why Father doesn't like you when you act like a fucking five-year-old!" Yukhei retorted back.
"I don't think that's a good way to speak to your elder brother, Wong Yukhei," A voice said from behind him.
Catalina gasped when he saw the man. "With that, you should be punished," Yukhei felt a sharp pain on his thigh, blood rushing down in his pants. He slowly fell down to the grown, clenching his fists. "Xuxi!" Catie screamed as he saw her husband in pain.
The door suddenly busted open and Dejun came running to see his friend stabbed. Dejun didn't hesitate to point his gun at the man.
"Xiao Dejun, it's been a while," the man greeted.
"I never wanted to meet you again, Marcus," Dejun replied. "So tell me, what's wrong with you?" Dejun causally asked, as if he wasn't pointing his gun at the man.
"Don't be so, goody-goody Dejun. We both know you aren't as good as you say," Marcus replied, which made Dejun's grip on his gun even tighter.
"Do you know this guy?" Xiyi asked him. "Used to, actually," Marcus replied. "You know who I am Marcus, you know what I believe in," Dejun said.
"I'm giving you, two options. Either you confess or I will shoot you right now," Dejun said as he look him straight in the eye. "Now, choose."
"Choose one, you dimwit," Yukhei said as he groaned in pain, clutching his stabbed thigh.
"I'd rather not," Marcus replied, and in that instant, a bullet went through his skull, immediately causing him to fall down. Xiyi on the other hand looked scared.
"Hear me out, first,"
He spoke. "What else do you have to explain, Xiyi?" Yukhei replied, still in agony. Dejun told his men to call for paramedics. "
Authorities are on their way, Xuxi. " Dejun said, as he knelt down and checked on his friend's situation.
"Everything has always been about you. The attention, time and praises. Even this woman. She was supposed to be mine! MINE!" Xiyi screamed like a mad man. Well, maybe he really is mad at this point.
"I never wanted the attention! You knew that from the very start! I had to do the things that you were supposed to do! I was your fucking filler, Wong Xiyi!" Yukhei said, still in agony.
Catie was still held by Xiyi. "You leave me no choice, Xuxi."
Catie fell to the cold hard ground, blood flowing from her abdomen. "Catalina!" Xuxi screamed. Catie was now on the ground, laying on her pool of blood. Blood was also oozing out of her mouth. "You fucking scumbag!" Xuxi said, as he took Dejun's gun and shot his brother.
Yukhei tried his very best to move towards his wife. "Catie, please. You can't leave me, you can't do this to Luna," he cried as he held her hand, stained with blood.
"Paramedics are only five minutes away, Xuxi. Put pressure on her wound first," Dejun said, trying to calm his friend down. He was also injured, and Dejun didn't want to add more.
"I.. love you... Wong Yukhei, always... and forever..."
