2 years later

"Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you~" the guests' voices could be heard inside the event hall as they sang the celebrant Happy birthday. It was Luna's 5th birthday, and well Yukhei decided to throw her daughter a party- more of like a ball.

"I told you that we didn't have to go all out," Catie said, catching her breath. "Will, you please stop walking love? You're out of breath," He replied, chuckling. Why is she out of breath if you may ask? Well, she's pregnant. Luna is going to be a big sister in less than a month.

"I'm perfectly fine, you're dramatic," Catalina replied, rolling her eyes at her husband. "Catie, I let you wore heels, please sit down, I know you're tired," Yukhei said, which made Catalina just nod. She didn't want to argue anymore.

"Mommy, Daddy!" Luna ran to her parents. "Hi baby, are you having fun?" Yukhei said as she carried her in his arms. "Yes, daddy! Uncle Johnny gave me a lot of dresses and shoes!" The child happily exclaimed.  "Did you say thank you?" Catie asked, as she looked at her daughter. "Yes mommy I did," Luna replied. Their little conversation was interrupted.  "Catie jie?" Fallon called her cousin from behind. "Fallon, hi! Oh my gosh it's been a while!" Catie exclaimed as she stood up from her seat and hugged her cousin.

"I know jie, things are hectic in Korea," Fallon said as she looked at Jaehyun. "Well, well hello there Jaehyun," Catie said, as Jaehyun gave her a small hug. "Jie, I need to talk to you real quick," Fallon said, as she held Catie's hand. "I'll borrow her first okay? We'll be back," Fallon said, as the two walked towards the exit of the venue.

They reached the gardens in less than five minutes. "Jie, I need you to take a deep breath, and relax, okay," Fallon said, as she took out an envelope out of her bag.

Catalina slowly opened the envelope, and read the paper.

It was Marcus' profile. It had all his criminal records. She read all through this until a certain phrase caught her eye.

Charlotte Wong- murdered, affiliated with black horse, London 02-14-19

Tears welled her eyes the moment she read the phrase. She finally found out who did it. She cried so hard, which made Fallon alert. "Jie, please your baby," Fallon said, concerned for her pregnant cousin.

"Lottie.... I found your killer," Catalina said,  as her voice cracked. Her best friend's death haunted her, and finally, after all these years, she finally had the answer to all of her questions.

Yukhei ran towards his wife when he saw her weeping. "Catie, what's wrong?" He said, voice filled with concern. He then looked up at Fallon, who was also comforting Catie.

"It's in the paper. I think you should read it," Fallon said, as she pointed at the papers Catie was holding. "I guess I'll leave you two to talk," Fallon said as she excused herself from the couple.

"Love, please calm down,"  Yukhei said, slowly rubbing circles on her back. "He was right in front of me, I had the chance," Catie said, controlling her sobs. "What's done is done, love. He's dead now," Yukhei reassured her, in hopes of making his wife feel better.

"I know she's happy for you, love. She's watching you from above,"

"She is, indeed." Catie replied.

"Now, should we go back inside?" Yukhei asked her, as he held his hand out. "Oh right, the party," She replied and stood up slowly from her seat.

Before heading back to the venue, Catie dropped by the washroom to freshen herself up. She eventually came back inside, looking refreshed.

"Now, everyone may I have your attention." The host said, and the entire hall went quiet. "May I call on the celebrant's parents for his closing remarks?"

Yukhei and Catalina walked to the center stage, together with their daughter, Luna. "Thank you everyone for coming tonight. As you all know, Catie and started rough," He said as he looked at Catie who was carrying Luna in her arms. "All of the challenges and the heartaches were worth it, because now, I have  my queen beside me, celebrating our princess' birthday."

"I'd like to make a toast. Do me a favor and let us all raise our glasses," He said as he took a champagne glass.

"To our daughter Luna, and to my beautiful wife, Catalina," He said as he raised his glass.

"I love you with all my heart, my girls," The crowd cheered as everyone took a sip of their champagne.

"She has received the envelope sir,"

It has been a week since the party and Yukhei was now back to work. He had to deal with a lot of backlag, since he took a week off, for Catie and Luna. Catie is no longer working since she took her maternity leave.

"Sir? There is a message for you," Neil, his secretary said through the intercom. "Send it in, Neil." Yukhei said, as he stopped reading the contract that he was about to sign. It took a while before the message to be forwarded, but it eventually arrived.

He put on his headphones before playing the voice message. The next thing he heard sent shivers down his spine.

"Wong Yukhei? It's me, Charlotte Wong."

The End.

This was my first book, and I really didn't expect that people would read this. As for the ending, it will be explained in the next book, which is Xiaojun's story. I will probably upload it a week or two from now, since I am currently working on it. I know the ending is quite crappy and short, but it will be expounded in the next book. Stay tuned :))

Once again, thank you for your support and love.

Love,

Z.
