Twenty Three

a/n: hi everyone! i'm really sorry that i haven't been updating that much. school has been so stressful, and sometimes i could barely find any time to write. this chapter is quite short, but still i hope you enjoy!

"Sure, I don't mind," I replied. I took my phone out of my purse. "I was thinking about us moving back together," He said, which made me lookup. 

"What?" I asked. "I don't want Luna to grow up like this," he said. 

"What do you mean by "like this"?" I asked. 

"Catie, my parents were on and off during my childhood. I don't want to be like my father," he said. I was shocked by his question.

 I didn't even know what we were. Are we even back together? I know he does not want his child to grow up like him, but I also have to consider myself. 

"I'll think about it," I replied. "Alright. I'll be waiting for your decision." He said. He looked through his phone. 

I just looked around the restaurant, admiring the beautiful architecture.

The waitress finally gave us our orders. I started to dig in with my food. In the middle of our meal, my phone rang. It was my secretary. 

"Hi Rachel, what do you need?" I said as I put down my fork. 

"I'm sorry to bother you Ma'am but there is a certain Fallon Chu looking for you? She says you are cousins," Fallon? 

She already went home? The last time I saw her was when I was still in London. Fallon is my younger cousin, who also studied abroad.

 "Uh, yes what does she need?" I replied. "She says that she has a blind date for you, ma'am?" Rachel said. 

"A Date?" I said. Yukhei immediately looked at me, and I just gave him an awkward smile. "Uhm, yes ma'am, She said that she wants you guys to meet when you get back," 

"Uhm yes sure. Tell her to leave her number," I replied. 

"Noted, ma'am. Thank you." She said and I ended the call. The mood got awkward at the table. He seems like he lost his mood. 

"Are you almost done? It's almost time for our booking at Legoland," He said. "Yes, I am." I replied. 

"Mommy," Luna called. "Yes my love what is it?" "Open juice box please," she said.

 I took the juice box and opened it for her. "I'll get the bill," Yukhei said as he signaled the waitress to hand us our bill. "Would you at least let me pay half?" I said. I was already feeling bad since he was the one who paid for everything and I haven't bought anything.

 "No, it's alright. Anything for you two," he said. I just nodded in response and didn't talk anymore. Knowing him, I know he probably won't give me the chance to pay for anything.

 "Daddy, are we going to Legoland already?" Luna asked. "Yes my dear, we are." He said as he signed the bill. We left the restaurant and waited for our car to arrive.

We got inside the car, and we immediately drove to Legoland. Luna was busy playing with her iPad on her seat, and I was busy fumbling with my hands or anything that could distract me from the weird mood inside the car. 

Yukhei was sitting beside me, looking through his emails again. He is indeed a workaholic. I was just looking at him, admiring his side profile. I looked at his left hand, and I noticed something.

It was our wedding ring.

Why was he still wearing it? Did he not take it off? I still have my ring with me though, but I don't wear it anymore because I really believed that we were already legally separated. 

"Staring is rude," he said, still looking through his phone. 

I froze, not knowing what to do. I composed myself and simply replied, "I wasn't," I replied. He just chuckled and turned his phone off. 

"Why are you curious about this?" He said as he raised his left hand in front of me. "What are you talking about," I said, and looked on the other side of the car. 

Why did I get myself into this situation? 

"If you're wondering why I didn't take it off, it's because I can't bring myself to do it, Cat."

 He said. It was the first time that I heard him call me that. "Sir, we have arrived," the driver said. Oh thank god, I was saved. I didn't want to have this conversation just yet. "Luna, baby we're here!" He said and turned around to look at Luna. 

"Yay! I want to go in, Daddy!' She exclaimed. We got off the car and went to the entrance to claim our tickets.

We finally got inside and looked at the map to see which place Luna wants to go first. Luna wanted to go and meet the mascots, so we decided to fall in line. 

It was eventually our turn, and one of the staff told us that we could get a picture of ourselves we agreed and took the photo. 

Yukhei carried Luna in his arms, and I was beside them as well. We looked as if we were really a happy family. 

"I can't believe that our first family portrait would be taken here," I said. "Well, at least now we have one," he replied and smiled at me.

"Mommy, lets go build!" Luna said as she held my hand.

 "Okay baby, slow down you might trip," I said. "Give me your purse," Yukhei said. "You'll be running around with Luna, I want you to be comfortable," He said. That made me blush. I didn't mind it and just went on with the flow. He looked cute, holding onto my purse.
