Wong Yukhei
"Sir, Mr. Xiao is here," Neil said through the intercom. "Let him in," I replied. The door opened and Xiaojun greeted me.
"So what do we have to discuss?" I asked him. "Well, I have met with my gun person, he said that he could provide us firearms," He replied as he sat down at the chair in front of my desk.
"Good. Do I still have to meet him or something?" I replied.
"No, it's all good. I suggest you carry a handgun with you." He advised.
"Marcus is known for surprise attacks," He added. "Any intel on what his next move is?" "My person said that he's teaming up with someone, I think his name was Wong Xiyi"
My eyebrows immediately shot up. My dearest brother was teaming up with Marcus Ma. What a coincidence. "Do you know this person?" Dejun asked, as he noticed my change of expression.
"Very well, Dejun. Very well." I replied.
Catalina Anne
It was already 12:30 when my meeting finished. My phone rang as I exited the conference room. "Hey buba, what's up?" I greeted. "Want to have lunch with me?" Yukhei asked. "Yeah, sure that'll be great," I replied as I walked towards my office.
I took my purse and made sure that I had all my things. "Great, I'm at the lobby. I'll wait for you here," He said.
"Mmmh. I'm already on my way down," I replied and ended the call. I got in the elevator and pressed the ground floor.
The new security team that he gave me was still following me around. I don't like it, but I have to deal with it since it is also for my own good.
I exited the elevator and saw Yukhei's sedan parked in front. "Hey, baby," He said and gave me a hug. "Hi, how was your day?" I replied.
"Good, how about you?" "It was stressful but manageable," I replied, as he opened the car door for me. I got inside, and he closed the door.
He buckled his seatbelt and drove away from my office. "So where are we having lunch?" I asked him. "You'll see, love." He replied and kept his eyes on the road. The drive was silent yet relaxing at the same time. I felt my eyes getting heavy so I decided to take a quick nap.
I felt him tapping my shoulder. "Cat, we're here." He said. I slowly opened my eyes, and I saw a beautiful view. The green fields looked so calm.
"Is this a.... firing range?" I asked. The place looked familiar. "Yeah, it is. But first, let's have lunch," He said and unbuckled his seatbelt.
I also unbuckled mine and got out of the car. As I observe the beautiful scenery in front of me, it hit me. This was the place where Johnny and I trained for self-defense. That's why it looked oddly familiar. Yukhei held my hand as we went inside the small restaurant. He opened the door for me and I went inside.
"Xuxi!" I heard someone call. Yukhei looked around, and there I saw a man, wearing a suit probably in his twenties, sitting by the patio. Yukhei guided me towards the table and introduced me. "Dejun, this is my wife, Catalina." He said.
"Xiao Dejun, nice to meet you," The man greeted. "Hi, call me Catie. Nice to meet you too," I replied. I sat down next to Yukhei and we started eating our lunch.
"I already have the firearms with me. All we have to do is to test them out," He said. Yukhei just nodded. "Uhm, so how do you guys know each other?" I asked them.
"Xuxi and I became friends in college, I really wasn't fluent in English back then, so he helped me out," Dejun answered.
"Little did I know, my best friend was part of a mafia," Yukhei added and they both laughed. Lunch was going good until someone uninvited appeared.
"Hi, brother," An unidentified man appeared infront of our table. I could see that both of their expressions change. Yukhei looked scary, I haven't seen this side of him yet.
"You must be Catie," He said, as he extended his hand for me to shake. "What the fuck do you want?" Yukhei spat.
"Chill, little brother. We haven't seen each other in ages and this is how you greet me?" "Stop playing around. Dejun, let's go.
" Yukhei said as he grabbed my hand which caused me to stand up.
"Yukhei, calm down please," I said, as I tried to caress his hand in hopes of getting him to relax. "I believe you forgot something brother," His brother said. Which made Yukhei turn around and look at him. "If it weren't for me you wouldn't have been with that little slut of yours," He said, which made me gasp. What on earth did he just call me?
Yukhei didn't even hesitate to punch him. "Don't you ever disrespect the mother of my child or else you won't ever see the light of day again. Mark my words, Wong Xiyi." He said in a firm tone. He was mad. Fuming mad. I could see the anger in his eyes.
"Xuxi, that's enough, let's go," I said as I held his hand and guided him out of the restaurant. Dejun was quietly following us out. When we got to the field, Yukhei immediately took one of the guns that Dejun prepared for us. He took a handgun and immediately started firing, which made me flinch.
"Wong Xiyi, I won't hold back again this time. You're dead meat."
I heard him say. I know that he and his brother has bad blood going on, but I didn't know what their fight is really all about.
He dropped the gun, when it was out of bullets. He let out a sigh, and I immediately engulfed him in a hug. "Hey, you need to calm down first," I said, trying to calm him down. He pulled away from my embrace and answered.
"You don't understand, Catie. That bastard has done countless mistakes and he isn't even held accountable for them!" He exclaimed. "Okay, okay. Xuxi, do remember that if you let your emotions take over you won't be able to think clearly," I replied.
"Catie's right, Xuxi. We have to be strategic. I'll send someone to follow him around to know what he's up to," Dejun added.
"You will pay for disrespecting my family, Wong Xiyi."
