Fulton was next to me, staring. I felt so... weird... next to him. He's not the talky type. It's weird. I slowly looked up at him and stared at him. He grunted, got up, and walked away. I sighed and bent down to put my skates on. I heard someone barge into the locker room.
"Hey team! Ready for today?" Coach yelled. I tied my last skate and looked up. We all started to cheer. "Today, we play the Huskies! Hard team, but we can play harder. Pass the puck often, lightly and fast, skate fast, and work together. Ready?!" Coach yelled. We all started to cheer again. "Alright! It's our first game with the Banks. So pass to them, too. The first people I want out is Ski, Charlie, Adam, Terri and Jesse out there. Goldberg, you're goalie. Alright! Let's go!" We all started to cheer louder and got up and started to walk out. I caught up with Ski and put my arm around her. She patted my helmet. We started to crack up. We finally went onto the ice and skated to our position.
We all got into a circle to talk about who's going where. "Okay Charlie, what's the game plan?" Jesse asked.
"Ski, you're center. Banks, left wing. Everyone else, you guys know where to go." Charlie said. We nodded. We all stood up straight and everyone skated to their positions. Ski and I skated to each other. I grabbed the side of her helmet.
"Ready?" I asked. She smiled.
"You really think we can't beat the Huskies?" She asked. I chuckled.
"Good, now go to your position, Rain Cloud." I said. She nodded. I patted her helmet and skated to my position.
