Ski

I skated over to Connie. She was leaning on her stick. I stopped right into front of her and looked at Courtney and Adam.

"They're so cute." Connie said with a sigh. I smiled.

"Yeah. Courtney doesn't really like Adam like they way he does to her." I said. I looked at Connie and she was nodding.

"Come on, let's go practice."

I was sitting at the kitchen table doing homework with Adam. "What's six hundred and thirty eight divided by thirty seven?" I asked Adam. He looked down at his paper.

"What problem?" He asked. I looked back at the paper too.

"Uh, number seven." I answered. He looked back up and started to play with his pencil with both is hands.

"Oh, didn't get that one." He said. I looked at him confused.

"What number are you on?" I asked.

"Let me think." Adam said. He stopped playing with his pencil and looked up. "Question zero." I rolled my eyes.

"Adam. You're failing math. You need to start doing your homework and passing your math tests." I stated.

"Look. I'm gonna be a pro hockey player, not Albert Einstein." Adam said, starting to play his pencil again.

"So? You need to know numbers to play hockey." I said.

"Sure." Adam said with an attitude.

"You do. Like how many scores you have done in a year, shots you have done, fights you have gotten into to, and your shooting average." I pointed out. Adam started to nod like he was paying attention. I rolled my eyes. I hear the phone ring. "I got it. Work on your math." I got up and walked to the living room. I grabbed the phone as put it up to my ear.

"The Banks family, Ski speaking." I said quickly.

"Hello Ski, it's the principal, Mrs. Gunn." Mrs. Gunn said.

"Oh, hi." I said. There was a pause, then I heard a cough.

"Okay, excuse me. Is your mother or father there?"
