Ski
"Yeah, hold on." I said. I put the phone on my shoulder and looked up the stairs. "Mom!" I yelled. I heard nothing. "Mom!" I yelled louder.
"Hold on, Ski! I'm coming!" I heard my mom yell from upstairs. I heard someone stomping down the stairs. I looked up at my mom.
"Mom? What's in your face?" I asked. She stopped at the bottom of the stairs.
"It's a mud mask." Mom replied. I stared at her.
"Why is it green?" I asked. She rolled her eyes and walked over to me. She grabbed the phone and put it up against her ear.
"Hello?" She asked. "Uh huh... Yes.... Correct.... Italy..... Yes..... I don't know.... Maybe..... Christina Stefanie... Okay..... Tomorrow.... Yes.... Will do.... Bye now." Mom hung up the phone.
"Why did the principal call?" I asked. She looked at me and smiled.
"Your friend coming out for three months." Mom replied. I stared at her.
"What friend?" I asked. She started to laugh.
"Oh, forgot to tell you. You have a friend in Italy that's coming out. You used to play with her almost everyday before she moved." Mom said.
"When's she coming out."
"I'm picking her up from the airport tomorrow. She's going go join you at your school." I nodded. I'm going meet the friend I apparently knew when I was younger.
