Ski

After I got ready, I walked out and saw Adam. He looked nice. I walked up to him. Something strong was in the air, it smelled weird. "Adam, are you wearing cologne?"

"Maybe." He said with a smile. I shook my head and went wide eyed.

"That is way to much. You're gonna kill Courtney with the chemicals before you get the chance to talk to her." I laughed.

"Haha, very funny. You ready?" Adam asked.

"Yeah, let's go." He got his skates and we started to go.

"Bye Mom, bye Dad." Adam called out. He opened the door and I walked out, then he closed the door. We started to walk. It was kind of snowing. It looked really pretty.

We lived close to the lake. I go down there a lot to go ice skating in the winter and swimming in the summer. I like going down in the winter.

I love ice skating. I have tried figure skating, but I suck at it, so I played hockey. I have been playing for four years for the Hawks. My first team was the Hawks. I love the Hawks, I just really don't like the Coach.

"Okay Ski, you need to tell me something." Adam demanded. I looked at him.

"What?"

"Nothing big but... Who you like." He said while looking up.

"Adam! Come on!" I yelled.

"Come on. I told you that I liked Courtney." He said. This time, looking at me. I rolled my eyes.

"Fine. But I swear to God-"

"I won't tell anyone. If I do, I will go to Courtney and kiss her on the lips, then leave." He said. I laughed.

"Fine. You know Larson?" I asked. Adam looked forward.

"That's Larson?" He asked. I looked over saw Alex and McGill talking by the skate shop.

"Yeah!" I yelled in shock. I put my head down.

"You like him?!" Adam asked. I nodded. "Never would have guessed."

"Hey Banks. Hey Ski." I heard Alex say. I looked up and saw McGill and Alex walk up to us.

"Where you going, Cutie?" McGill asked. I rolled my eyes.

"Shut up, McGill." Larson snapped. I started to blush. Alex looked at me and smiled.

"What? Just asking."

"We're going down to the lake to meet one of Ski's friends." Adam stated.

"Oh, that's cool." Alex said. He looked back at me and smiled. I smiled too.

"Can we join y'all?" McGill asked. I stopped smiling and looked at McGill.

"I don't know, are you going to be annoying?" Adam asked.

"What do you think?" Johnny said.

"Yes?" I replied.

"No, Eve." He snapped. I hate it when he calls me that, and Adam knows it.

"Stop calling me that." I demanded.

"Fine, but when we start dating, I'm calling you that." Johnny said. I rolled my eyes.

"For the last time McGill, we will never date!" I snapped.

"You never know." He implied. I rolled my eyes again and looked at Adam.

"Come on, let's get going." We all started to walk to the lake.

"Hey y'all." I heard Courtney said. She skated up to us.

"Hey Jane." I said.

"Hey, Adam." She said. He smiled and started to blush. "Who are your friends?"

"Courtney, this is Alex Larson and Johnny McGill. McGill, Alex, this is Courtney." I introduced. They all shook hands. I went on the ice.

We were the only ones on the lake. It was really pretty. We all started to skate around. I was next to Larson and Adam and Courtney was next to Adam and McGill.

We were all in a huge line. We were talking about bands and hockey and figure skating. We all grabbed each other's hands.

Larson grabbed my hand and, I was so happy when he did this, but he locked fingers with mine. I looked at him. He was looking down at our hands, then, looked back at me.

We all started to skate really fast. Courtney lost her balance and fell, which made us all fall. We all started to crack up. I kind of fell on top of Alex and Adam. I looked at Alex, he was cracking up.

"How was ice skating?" Mom asked. Adam closed the front door. We were still cracking up.

"Fun." I replied. We walked into the kitchen.

"Whatcha making?" Adam asked as he opened the fridge.

"Pasta. It's almost done." Mom answered. I sat down at the counter. I saw Adam come out of the fridge with two pepsis. He walked up to me and gave me one.
