Adam

I heard the door open. I looked at Ski.

Mom's home.

"Hey guys! I got pizza!" I heard mom yell. I started to mouth 'please' to Ski over and over. She kept on shaking her head slowly.

"Hey Mom, we're in the kitchen!" Ski called out. I gave her a mean look as she smiled at me. I heard Mom walk into the kitchen. I turned around and smiled at her.

"Hi, Mom." I said unsurely. Mom put the pizza on the table and looked at me.

"Hi sweetie, where's Christina?" Mom asked.

"She went to bed. She's still as jet lag from her travel from Italy. It's getting better. It's 8:30 and she's going to bed." Ski replied.

"Okay, great. She needs rest." Mom pointed out. We both nodded.

"Mom?" I asked. Mom looked at me and nodded with a smiled.

"Yes, Adam?" I swallowed hard.

"Do you love me?" I blurted. Mom shot me a confused look as she sat down.

"What? Yes, of course I do!" Mom replied.

"No matter what?" I asked. She smiled again.

"No matter what." She replied. She got a slice of pizza and started to take a bit.

"Even if I told Christina that her brother can come over from Italy and stay with us for about three months?" I asked horsey. Mom coughed and looked at me in shock.

"What?!" Mom asked. "Why did you tell her that?!"

"I'm sorry, Mom! I didn't mean too. We were just talking about her brother used to be friends with us too and she asked if he can stay and I maybe told her yes." I explained. Mom sighed and shook we head.

"Adam, why?" Mom asked.

"Look, it was my fault. I didn't stop him in time." Ski added in. Mom sighed again.

"It's okay, you guys. Just don't do it again."
