Ski

"Give me the diary back, Adam!" I screamed. I was chasing my older twin brother, Adam, around the house since he took my diary from my room, which he's not allowed in anyway.

He has been trying to figure out who my crush is. All I told him was that it was one of his friends, then he started to go crazy to figure out. Adam got on one side of the kitchen table while I was on the other.

"I'm not going to tell them if you would just tell me!" Adam yelled. "Is it someone on our team?" I stopped breathing for a second and swallowed hard.

It is.

His names Larson, Alex Larson. He was one of the sweetest guys on the team. Cutest, too.

Adam finally ran away from the table and got by the couch, opening my diary and starting the flip the pages. "Great practice today. We won a game the other day too, Adam made the most scores, of course. Anyway, I think I'm starting to like someone, his name is-"

"NO!" I screamed. I ran over and jumped on him. I tackled Adam onto the couch, which shut the book. I grabbed it from his hands and threw it on the floor. We both started to wrestle on the couch.

"What are you guys doing?!" I heard Mom yell. Adam and I looked over and saw her standing there with her hands on her hips and a sour expression on her face. We got up real quick.

"Adam stole my diary!" I yelled, pointing at him. Mom closed her eyes and sighed.

"Adam. I told you not to steal your sisters diary. What do you have to say to Ski?" Mom asked strictly. I looked at him the same time he looked at me.

"I'm sorry." Adam apologized. I nodded. We both looked back at Mom.

"Good. Now get ready for practice. You guys need to be down at the ice rink in twenty minutes. Now go! Hurry!" Mom yelled. I gave Adam a dirty look, walked over to the diary lying on the floor and picked it up. I went into my room and shut the door with my back. I sighed and walked to my desk, putting the diary on the desk. I started to put my gear in the bag.

I play for a team called the Hawks. We're a pretty good team, I guess. We never lost a champion, except this one time. I wasn't even born when that kid screwed up that goal. Coach said he missed it by a quarter of an inch, hitting the pole.

Coach talks about that guy a lot, I think he said his name is Gordon Bombay. He talks about how good he was, and Adam said he wanted to be just like him. He even has his same number as him; #9.

My number's #19. That's always been my lucky number because that was the day that Adam and I were born. I love my brother, but he can get annoying sometimes.

Really annoying.

I don't know, most of my friends who are girls have the biggest crush on him. I don't know what they see in him, but I won't judge.

Anyway, I know he has a crush on my friend, Courtney Jane. He always stares at her in class when she's not looking. I got to admit, she is really pretty. She says she wants to play hockey someday, but she is a figure skater, not a hockey player. I got my jersey on so I don't have to carry it.

"Shotgun!" I heard Adam yell. I looked up.

"Don't care!" I screamed back. I got my bag that was on the floor and my stick that was leaning again my wall. I got out of my room, closed the door behind me, then started to leave.
