Ski

I heard someone walk through the door. I stopped getting my books out of my backpack and saw Mom walk in talking to a really pretty girl about our age.

"And this is the house! Oh, I'm really glad your here. Ski! Adam! Come here!" Mom yelled throughout the house. Adam and I shot up and walked over to Mom. "Okay. Ski, Adam, this is your old friend, Christina! Christina, this is Ski," Mom said. I shook her hand. "And this is Adam." Christina took the grip off of my hand and shook Adams. I looked at Adam's face and he was staring at Christina like he just fell in love.

"Hello, it is very nice to meet all of you." Christina said politely. I smiled.

"Christina is from Sicily, Italy. Her first language is Italian so she's not the best in English." Mom said. We nodded. "Okay, I'll help out with her bags and then you go right to sleep, Christina, because you had a long night." Mom said. Christina nodded like she was a little confused of what Mom just said. I looked over at Adam and he was still staring at Christina.

"You okay, Adam?" I asked. He sighed with a smiled.

"She's beautiful," Adam sighed. "Long, curly brunette hair, bright green eyes, her sweet, sweet smile and the way she talks..." Adam paused. "I just met her and I'm already in love with her." I rolled my eyes.

"Okay, have a nice night!" I heard Mom say to Christina. She turned around and made her way toward us. "Okay, I talked to Coach Bombay and he said that Christina can play for the team since she plays hockey down in Italy. And also you need to hang out with Christina for a while and help her around." Mom said.

"I'll do it!" Adam yelled, shooting his hand into the air. I was trying my best not to laugh my head off, but I did let out a little burst of air.

"Okay, thank you, Adam. Ski?" Mom asked. I finally got my self together.

"Yeah, I'll help too." I said. Mom smiled and nodded.

"Great! Now Christina can have a good time down here in Minnesota..."
