A Night Alone

Nathan’s POV

Melody and Lea have actually been talking about girly things. The boys and I were just having a small laughter by the cove. We had a lot of things to prepare about our tour. Speaking of tour – aren’t we supposed to be in rehearsal by now.

“Tom – hey, aren’t we supposed to be in rehearsal right now?”

He looked at his watch and stood up rapidly.

“Boys, we’re forty-five minutes late for rehearsal”

They grabbed their things and rushed in the van.

“Lea, you know where we’re staying, we’ll see you tonight”

Lea’s POV

There – my brother is leaving for a rehearsal – which I am guessing they’re all late for this one, AGAIN. Melody looked at me blankly – she grabbed her leather jacket from the sand and put on her sunglasses.

“Maybe we should head to the place your brother said so”

“Yeah”

It’s another disconnection from me and the boys. This happened everyday in Bolton, but with my boyfriend – it couldn’t happen.

“By the way – I’m not actually staying that long in the hotel. We’re having a shooting about a commercial tonight”

“Okay”

Before Melody left for this ‘taping’, we had a small pep-talk about trusting the right guy once falling in love. A heart is really fragile; you needed to be careful with it. Falling for someone can heal a heart but when hurt, it breaks it. Try to be a bit careful when picking someone you love. Don’t love them because they’re rich. Don’t love them because they’re good-looking. Don’t love them because they’re popular. Love them when they treat you right and when they love you. I didn’t love Nathan for money, looks or popularity but with his personality. We’ve been friend since fifth grade but suddenly torn apart because of Caroline.

There are a lot of things I learned while mine and Nathan’s relationship lasted. I haven’t as well been noticing that summer was gonna end in two months. It was already at a short period of time. How if I even reach my college years? It would get more complicated if I go to college while I’m in a relationship with him. Especially if my mates are gonna be TWFanmilies.

I’m gonna have to think about how I’m gonna hide to all of them that me and Nathan are dating. What would Tom say if he finds out about our plan? What would Tom do if he was gonna be in my situation? I mean, he had a past experience but it was different from mine. He didn’t date a celebrity, but I’m dating one and he’s a heart-throb.

So, I have a whole night to think through my thought and I’m finally alone for just hours of my life. But, Tom and the boys were gonna come in my hotel-room after minutes of breaks. They would just bust through a door without really knocking; so it’s a bit embarrassing when you’re getting dressed or trying out some of your clothes while their in your house.

The manager must’ve been already searching for me right now. He might even have a blood-boil for my absence in a month. No one would make a big deal out of it; he could even replace me with Kirsten. I don’t care; I’d rather stay home than be too busy for some photo-shoot.

The door at the lounge burst open; I heard laughing and yapping by the doorway. I walked towards it and saw the boys fighting of who would go inside first and last.

“If you guys are gonna have a long argument in the doorway, I’m going to bed”

“Goodnight Lea”

Okay, the boys just arrived. Scratch the big-night-alone-thing. I guess I’m spending the night with their mischief.

“Oh. Lea, we’re having a really early rehearsal tomorrow. So, can you help us pull your boyfriend inside the room?”

I pulled Nathan’s arm and opened the door wider. I crashed on the sofa and fell asleep. Tomorrow is gonna be quiet. I guess.

Researching more about UCLA, Tom already paid for me there and later at noon they were gonna take me there for a small tour. The boys seem to have prepared too much for my college years.

Last night I had a strange dream. It’s hard to explain but it was also confusing. That’s the reason for it to be hard-to-explain; well this is a hint, a quotation ‘Every girl has a fairytale wedding’. It’s weird I know - but hey, a dream is a dream.

I looked at my watch and looked at the time, four o’clock. I had eight hours until the small tour. There was a loud thud in Nathan’s room. I entered it and saw Siva waking up Nathan; he must’ve pushed him so he can wake up. The whole band was surrounding his bed while smacking his face with a pillow in an order from youngest to eldest.

“Boys, stop that. He’s not gonna wake up by that way”

They tossed the pillows on the corner of the room. I approached the bed and saw Nathan lying there and his body wrapped with the blanket.

“Oh my God, is he sleeping naked?”

Tom shrugged and pushed me outside.

“It’s rude disturbing a group of friends while they are having a private meeting”

He closed the door and I heard a lock being locked from behind it.

“You disturb me when I’m with Lilly and Carly”

Only four hours until the UCLA tour. Why do they even have to give me a tour? I can wait till the end of summer and roam around the property while I’m there. The boys were still having trouble about Nathan - at four they had trouble waking him up. At five – they have trouble making him stand up from the bed. At six – they had trouble making him go out the room. At seven – they got trouble on making him go to the bathroom. Now - they are having trouble making him go out of the bathroom.

“Nate, please get out of the bathroom!”

I pounded on the door and yelled out his name.

“Lea, boys – please just one minute”

“You’ve been there for an hour”

He opened the door revealing him on his phone.

“Who are you talking to?”

“Jessica”

The door closed again while I heard yelling and crying. The door opened again, Nathan went out and closed the door behind him.

“Lei, can we talk?”

I followed him to the balcony and sat down on the beach chair.

“What do you wanna talk about?”

His warm eyes remained on mine for a while. There was a twinkle on his eyes showing me he wanted to tell me something but he’s having a hard time to do it. I know that look, it was the look on his eyes when we were all playing ‘Truth’ and Melody asked what lie he told me. Nathan was just glancing at me then a stare before actually telling us he was going out the game.

“Why is it so hard for you to tell me something?”

By those words – he looked away from me. There was something he didn’t wanna tell me.

“It wasn’t Jessica I was on the phone with”
