Ellie’s POV

There were a lot of changes since I was actually ‘taken’ to Tom Parker’s house which is now a celebrity for three years; I haven’t met any of the boys. I’m already a model who works twenty-four hours a day. I would go home my hair would be shaggy and my eyes are really heavy. Now, they’ve given me a break to spend time with my family more of the time.

‘Flight from California, USA have just landed’

I walked toward the gates and looked for him. My phone vibrated from my pocket, a text from Tom saying:

‘We’re here, where are you?’

He can’t even find his way out the airport. I walked out the airport and waited for all of them at the van mum told me to use while picking up the five of them. Tom walked towards me and smiled, pulling his luggage in one hand.

Siva put their bags in the trunk while I was scanning all of them.

“So, here are the boys you wanted me to meet”

“Yeah, that’s Siva, this is Jay, and that’s Max. And this is Nathan”

“And boys this is my sister, Lea”

I gave them a wave and a small smile. Nathan reminded me of the friend ‘Nathan’ I had back when I was ‘taken’ away to Bolton. Yeah, since my name is ‘Eleanor’ and when I was taken here in this part of the country and I got to know Tom better; he started calling me ‘Lea’. So it’s a bit different now. Tom sat down on the driver’s seat and I sat down beside him on the passenger’s seat.

“So, where are we heading next? Don’t say you’re too busy, we came here just to spend time with you and we’ll be staying here for the past couple of weeks and we are going back on tour for a whole month”

“No I’m not. They gave me a break for a couple of weeks, so I can spend more time with my family. I don’t know where we are heading next. Jay you decide”

“I don’t know. Nathan what are you looking at; you’ve been staring at your phone for the rest of the flight. You have a text mate that you like do you?”

The car was filled in coos. I was used to getting coos; we used to get these kinds when students would talk about me and Nathan actually dating.

“No I don’t. Just a picture that’s very important to me”

Nathan looked up from his phone and put it in his pocket

“A photo of a very special girl”

The whole car was laughing; Tom stopped the car and turned to Nathan.

“C’mon Nate, my sister’s with us. Tell me who it is?”

They all looked at Nathan and so did I. His eyes were just focused at mine; there was an eye-contact between the two of us. He looked down at the ground and went out the car.

“I’ll go talk to him”

Max went out the car leaving me with Siva, Jay and my brother Tom. By the looks of it, he was stubborn.

“He’s stubborn isn’t he?”

They all nodded and the back door opened letting Max get in. Nathan wasn’t with him; he didn’t even get inside for a minute.

“Maybe I’ll go talk to him”

I stood up and walked out the car. Nathan was sitting on the sidewalk looking at his phone and whispering something to it, like he was actually talking to the picture.

“Hey. I’m really sorry about my brother, he’s just like that”

“No. That’s not my problem. I just remembered someone”

He gave me a small smile before standing up and going back inside the car. I wonder who that person is.

“Well, you followed a girl’s instructions”

“Siva, can you just leave him some peaceful time out?”

“Sorry”

Tom looked at me strangely, and then all of them were looking at me awkwardly except for Nathan. I plugged in my earphones and took out the paper crane from my purse; the violet paper wasn’t even smudged with anything. Its wings were still the same like it was freshly folded a minute ago.

“That’s beautiful”

I turned around and saw Siva and Jay looking at the paper crane on the palm of my hands.

“Did you fold it yourself? Can you actually teach us how to do those?”

“I didn’t fold it, it was from someone. He gave it to me when I wasn’t… Forget about it”

I was sitting on the bed in my room alone, I went downstairs to listen to Tom’s and the boys’ conversation. They all were in the guesthouse talking about the rules in the house.

“Number one; never try to flirt around my sister. Especially you Nathan, you’re really dangerous at flirting. Rule number two; No alone time with Lea. Rule number three; no pranks on my sister”

Okay, he’s making up rules in the house which I am in.

“Wait a minute Tom - Every rule in the house is for your sister, while she’s already nineteen”

“Jay’s right, she can’t be a prisoner forever”

The guesthouse remained quiet for a minute until someone’s phone vibrated which made everyone laugh out loud.

“Nate, who is it?”

“My sister Jessica”

Jessica? Nathan and Jessica, this is getting weirder and weirder. Maybe he was my best friend. I went in the guesthouse and looked at every one of them.

“Tom, can we talk? Alone”

He stood up and walked outside, closing the door behind him. I wanted to ask him more about Nathan, if he was the real one that I had in mind for a long time. Was it really the Nathan James Sykes I’ve had in my mind for a very long time?

“What are we talking about?”

This was a bit odd; I remained quiet having a hard time to let out my words.

“Tell me more about Nathan; he looks a bit familiar to me. I don’t know maybe I’ve actually seen him or known him back at my childhood”

“Well, he’s from Abbeydale, has a sister named Jessica. His parents are Karen and Harry; he went to Sylvia Young’s theatre school when he was eleven and went to Ribston Hall High School at sixth form. Why did you ask?”

They were the exact facts that actually described Nathan, my best friend. Okay, this is the moment of truth. So I can tell let me just ask him what his full name is or maybe who he really is. What his passion is. What he’s used to. Or maybe I can listen to their songs. If he could remember the verses of the songs Nathan had written or maybe the lyrics I gave him as a child.

If he could remember I would talk to him more often.

“Tom, what’s Nathan’s full name?”

“Nathan James Sykes”
