Another boring lecture... why do I have to be a stupid doctor?! I hate science...
Mark was bored, to say the least. It's not as if he could distract his mind by looking at Haechan like the other day because Haechan never turned up to the lecture.
Did he just turn up for one day and dip?? Wish I could do the same thing :/
After the lecture finished Mark walked towards the exit of the building. He only had one lecture today and was eager to go home and nap.
As he walked out of the gates he saw a familiar face, just sitting on the wall.
"Haechan?" Mark asked.
Haechan turned to look at Mark before smiling and waving at him.
"Oh, hello Mark!"
"You weren't in the lecture today?" Mark sat down next to Haechan. He didn't think they were close enough to have a full conversation yet but he did want to get closer to him.
"Was that today?! I thought that was tomorrow!" Haechan pouted.
"If you thought it was tomorrow, why are you even at the gate? We only have one lecture."
"Oh, I lost my sheet."
"Your sheet?"
"The one with all the lectures on."
"Your timetable?"
"I think it's called that?? I've never heard of it before."
"You've never heard of a timetable?" a confused Mark asked.
Haechan noticed Mark's change in tone.
"Oh! No! I have! I mean I just, uh... didn't know I had one!"
"You didn't know you had a timetable? But you just said you had one and lost it."
"Uhhh-,"
"You know you can just look online right?"
"Oh! I didn't know that!" Haechan exclaimed smiling at Mark. "Uh, how do I do that?"
Mark stared at Haechan, convinced he must be playing dumb. Haechan looked back with a sincere expression, waiting for Mark's answer.
"Um, just go on your phone and you'll see it."
"My phone? It can do that?!" Haechan pulled a shocked face before he unzipped his bag to get out a phone.
"Dude what!?!" Mark exclaimed looking at Haechan's phone. It was one of those massive brick phones from years ago with a big antenna on the top.
Although Haechan may have caught Mark's attention with his looks, his, uh, actions, have caught his attention in a different way.
"So how do i get the timetable?" Haechan pulled the long antenna upwards, letting it rest in Mark's face.
"DUDE!" Mark laughed at Haechan's old phone. "Your ACTUAL phone! What the fuck is this!?? Are you 60!?"
Haechan pulled a confused expression.
"This is my phone. And I'm 19, I'm not 60. Do I look 60?"
Mark looked at Haechan again.
"Wait are you serious with this? You've GOT to be kidding me or something,"
"Is this not adequate??" Haechan looked around the phone, inspecting it, and saw a year on the back. "1985, that's not that long ago,"
"1985 was DECADES ago, dude you weren't even born then."
Haechan thought for a moment, before panicking.
"Uh yeah! of course I wasn't! I mean who was!?!" Haechan awkwardly laughed. Bustedddd~
"Dude, you're strange," said Mark, "but, you're also cool. In a weird way..."
Haechan's eyes lit up at Mark's compliment and he smiled wide at him. Mark was taken back by this and stared at Haechan's cute and sparkling eyes.
Haechan stuffed his "phone" into his bag and wrote on his hand to "buy a new phone". Mark laughed at his phone again, bewildered that he would even think to buy it.
"So, why were you out here again?" Mark asks, trying to start another conversation up.
"Look," Haechan pointed up to the sky and directly at the sun, "isn't it pretty?"
Mark followed Haechan's finger upwards before looking at the sky and quickly looking away.
"Ow! Dude! Why did you make me look at the sun!?! I can't see now!"
"You can't see!? Why not!!?"
"BECAUSE I LOOKED AT THE SUN!!"
"You can't see when you look at the sun????" Haechan asked, looking back up to the sun, "but I'm seeing it just fine.."
"DUDE DONT LOOK AT THE SUN ARE YOU INSANE YOULL GO BLIND!"
Haechan was puzzled for a moment, before looking at an overdramatic Mark next to him.
"Oh no! Did you go blind!? I didn't know! I'm sorry! Please let me see!" Haechan gently held Mark's chin up so he could see his eyes.
Mark locked eyes with Haechan, seeing the pools of honey staring back at him. Haechan examined him, his hand still on his chin, before letting go and smiling.
"You're not blind!" he exclaimed happily.
Mark watched the boy smile and felt his ears turn red again.
"I'm gonna go now bye!" Mark jumped up and started to walk away from Haechan, embarrassed.
"Oh okay! Goodbye Mark!" Haechan waved to Mark as he walked off. He then resumed his staring off into space. "That was a close one... I'll have to be less friendly from here on out. And less stupid!!"
