"So what have you decided to do?" asks Mark.

"I-, I don't know yet..."

"Oh..." Mark's heart begins to fracture in two as the thought of Haechan leaving him forever sweeps across his mind.

"Are you mad at me?" asks Haechan.

Mark walks over to Haechan and ruffles his hair a little. He gently parts his fringe and places a small kiss on his forehead. "I would never be mad at you, Haechan."

Haechan blushes and the two sit down together.

"I just don't understand one thing is all," starts Mark, placing his arm around Haechan, "why would you want to remain a deity when they do this to you?"

Mark points to the bruises and wounds that are scattered all over Haechan's body.

"I wouldn't ever stay for the Firsts, it's Jaemin. He's my brother, my best friend, my partner. Our titles are matching, after all! I didn't know he felt the way he did... I thought he still hated me."

Haechan rests his head on Mark's shoulder.

"I don't know what to do now, Mark. I want to stay here more than anything! But how can I just leave Jaemin like that?!"

Haechan begins to sob into Mark's chest while Mark strokes his hair melodically.

"No matter what your decision, just remember that I'll always love you, okay?"

Haechan lifts his reddened face up and looks at Mark - his eyes seemed to be shiny as well. "You'll still love me even if I had to leave?"

A tear seems to fall gently down Mark's cheek as he looks at the teary-eyed boy in front of him. "I'll love you forever and ever and ever. Don't worry about me. You make a decision that you think is right."

Haechan begins to sob as the two throw themselves at one another, melting into each other's arms. Mark rests his head onto Haechan's shoulder and squeezes him gently.

The thoughts of Haechan leaving had crippled his mind for the past few days. Of course, he doesn't want him to leave but he trusts that Haechan will make the right decision for himself, even if that means he can never see him again. Because, as they say, if you love someone, you have to be prepared to let them go.

~ HAECHAN FINAL DAY BEFORE DECISION ~

"Haechan?"

"Mhmm?"

"Close your eyes."

Haechan closes his eyes tightly. He feels Mark's hand gently take his and he giggles at the contact.

"No peeking, okay?"

"Okay."

"You have to have your eyes shut the whole time, okay?"

"Ok ok, I will," he giggles.

Mark slowly leads Haechan out of their apartment and to a location that was still a secret to Haechan. After 15 minutes of guided walking, they finally stop.

"Okay, you can open your eyes now!"

Haechan slowly opens his eyes to see a magnificent forest before him. Shrubs and trees line the edges and flowers seemed to be scattered everywhere; daisies and buttercups and daffodils making the forest bloom with color. There was a small clearing in the forest that had a picnic laid out on it.

"Woah~~, this is amazing!" said Haechan with excitement.

"It's a picnic date for our final day together," says Mark, smiling at his boyfriend.
