-3rd Person-

David Budd turned the corner and pulled up outside Heath Bank School. In the back of his car was Ella and Charlie.

"Like a Prince and Princess, getting a lift in eh? Everyone else is already in, so in you go, quickly, alright?" David smiled through the rearview mirror. However in the back, Charlie was on the verge of tears because he didn't want to go to school, school for him wasn't good because he didn't learn like everyone else, his brain was wired differently and kids can be mean.

"Come on now Charlie, we had all that messing about at home." Charlie didn't move

"Let's not make this any worse please." David stated

"He says they call him names, he doesn't like it?" Ella told her Dad and David turned around.

"What have I told you about crying? never show weakness. They only hurt you more. Right big man, in you go." David reprimanded to his 8 year old son. Charlie again didn't move.

"Charlie, in we go please." Charlie and Ella undid their seatbelts and left the car to go into school leaving their father to sigh.

David arrived to pick Mia and Julia up, they slid into either side of the car and began their usual routine of looking down at papers. During their journey, David's phone started to buzz, it was Vicky.

"Apologies." The two women didn't even look up. He ignored the call. But then it buzzed again, this time Julia looked up.

"Apologies again, I have to keep it on for work." he ignored Vicky's call. And then it rang for a third time, both women looked toward the police officer.

"I think you better answer that before it drives us all up the bloody wall." Julia stated

"Apologies....Hi Look...I'm at work I'll call you back...I can't talk right now...shit, look I'm working but we'll find the right person to talk to, we'll find the right school." Julia blanked out the conversation but Mia was listening to the conversation, the screws in her head were turning figuring out what was going on.

"I'm really sorry love." David hung up the phone. Ten minutes later they arrived at the home office. They all got out of the car, David apologised again. When they got up to their floor, Mia spoke up.

"Mum, I need a word with you in private." Julia nodded and they headed into her office. They put their stuff and sat down.

"What is it, sweetheart?" Julia asked her daughter.

"The conversation, Sargent Budd was having in the car, it was with his wife." she started

"obviously I could only hear one side of the conversation but from what I gather, his son is having some difficulty getting into what I might think to be a school for special needs. I was hoping that you in your infinite place of brilliance could pull some strings. " Julia sat back in her chair.

"And why would I do that?" she asked. Mia raised her eyebrow.

"He's a hero, not only did he save the lives of his children and a bunch of others but most importantly, your sweetheart." she smiled.

"You're sweet on him." Julia teased. Mia glared at her mother.

"Will you do it or not?"

"I will see what I can do." Mia grinned and stood up to kiss her mothers cheek.

"Thank you." she walked out of the office and past David.

A couple of hours later Mike Travis arrived just as Mia was about to go photocopy something.
