Chapter 29 - Help Him

Before the car even fully stopped outside Pope Square, i opened the door and stepped out. A officer took me and Vicky to Rayburn and the other officer who I knew now to be Craddock. Craddock was leaving the Square just as we were entering.

"David, let's just try and stay calm yeah." Rayburn said "David are you receiving me." I looked over towards him

"Vic! Mia! Get away from here!" he shouted to us.

"David, they want us here." i yelled back

"Get away!"

"Just get expo here, Louise. Get me out of this thing." I could hear the fear in his voice over the radio."

"Just keep your hands where we can see them." The contempt in Rayburn's voice gave me chills.

"My hand is on the DMS. What's the matter with you? You blind." he snapped at her.

"I'm being set up! The people that did this to me, they're the one's that killed Julia!" I gulped slightly as he mentioned my mothers name.

"OK, David." she simply replied

"Louise, I know I betrayed your trust. I lied about Andy Apsted, but if I came clean, I would have been the fall guy and the people that really killed the Home Secretary would have gotten away with it. I didn't want to lie i had to."

"Dave, just do as they say." Vicky shouted "David, you need help please!" she pleaded

"Vic, I'm telling the truth."

"Why would he lie, now." I butted in "He's strapped to a bomb and he's scared. Please just listen."

"Trojan control." I turned my head towards the armed police officer

"Go ahead control."

"Message from SFC. Critical shot authorised."

"no." I muttered. They all fixed their guns to shoot.

"One of fire behind me." Vicky and I were pulled by Rayburn to behind the officer.

"I know i lied, I hid things, but you have to understand I had nothing with Andy trying to kill Mia. Nothing to do with the bomb the killed Julia. I wanted to know who did it. I don't know who did it. It was security service, organised crime, terrorisim. That's what I was trying to find out."

"I know you think i'm lying but I had nothing to do with this conspiracy to kill Julia, to hurt/ almost kill Mia!" Just then Sharma arrived

"Any what kind of explosives are in the device?" Sharma asked

"Not yet. no, and I wouldn't hold much store in Budd's answers either. It's been a stream of bullshit since day one." she aimed the last part at him

"All right, I hear you but let's lower the temperature."

"yeah, Louise, cool it or I'll slap your judgemental bitch face right here, right now."

"Mrs Montague Jones." Sharma warned

"She's pissing me off, you all are thinking you know the truth when you don't know shit. If that man dies here because you haven't helped so help me god I will ruin you. This whole country will know what a shit show SO15 really is. So do something!" I yelled at him.

"Mia." Vicky took my arm

"What Channel?" Sharma asked

"David, Deepak Sharma. Receiving?"

"Receiving." he confirmed

"What can you tell us about the PBIED?" he asked. Finally they listen, I tried to give a reassuring look to Vicky.
