David was called back to the office for a meeting with Craddock.
"David, thanks for coming in. Have a seat." She gestured
"Thank you Ma'am." he took a chai and sat down, Craddock followed
"I thought this would be the most secure way to hear your report." Craddock told him
"My report Ma'am?" David questioned.
"On the home secretary's contact with the Security Service.." She clarified
"Nothing of significance as of yet Ma'am." he replied and she furrowed her eyebrows.
"No?" she stood up and grabbed a folder. "The Director General entered her hotel at 7:49 an left and 8:22." she read, Keeping a stoic face he simply replied
"I was taking a shower and missed that. Very Sorry about that." David lied and Craddock decided whether he was telling the truth or not.
"We've put you in that room for a reason." Craddock folded her arms
"Ma'am."
"How's your family doing David?" she asked him and David scowled
"Is there some intel their still in danger?" he wondered and she shook her head
"There was. I'll be completing a threat to life assessment. Extending their stay will being weight with other priorities in the budget." David looked down, he knew a veiled threat when he saw one.
"I'll be sure to record their next meeting."
"Good man." Craddock went to open the door "Oh sorry to cut into your time, but SO15 want to interview you about Thornton Circus."
"But I gave them my full statement at the time."
"Still, the IOPC's involved want to dot the I's." she opened the door and he left.

I was driven to the counter terrorism building. I had been asked to go over my statement about the attack. When I arrived I was met but two officers.
"Ms Montague-Jones, I'm DCI Sharma, this is DS Rayburn."
"Pleasure, though I wish it was under better circumstances."
"We'll take you through to the interview room now." Just then I saw David come out, I was shocked slightly.
"PS Budd." I cleared my throat.
"Ma'am."
"This way." We walked past him and I was taken to an interview room.

David led us to our hotel rooms, checking my mothers first and then checking mine.
"All clear Ma'am."
"Is anything the matter? You've seemed off ever since we left SO15." i questioned concerned
"No." he simply replied
"Is your family home yet?" thinking that may be the reason, because I knew something was wrong.
"The safe house has been extended. There is no other option really, with everyone in the dark about whether they're still a target." i nodded in understanding and walked over to him wrapping my arms around his neck, he put them on my waist
"Well you can always come to me or my mother, she's a hard face bitch but she likes you. She could help, if you ever need it."
"I wouldn't want you to circumvent security protocol" I raised your eyebrows.
