-Mia-
That night I paced back and forth, wondering what the hell was going on. I couldn't settle, for hours I heard nothing until I heard David's door closed. I unlocked mine and opened it.
"You're back." I wrapped my arms around him and he did the same.
"Hey, it's okay love, i'm fine."
"Mum said you were taking her somewhere, but didn't say much more, than that. The two of you had made me so worried."
"It's fine, come on." he lead me back into my room.
-------
I sat bolt up right, I had a nightmare. A nightmare about Thornton circus, not the first one I had not that anyone knew, I never told how much it effected me. I look to my right expecting to see David there. He wasn't and calmed my breath and went to look for him. I found him in his own room, he looked like he was asleep. I smiled and climbed over him.
"You sleeping." I went down to kiss him but he woke up and and his hands went straight around my neck. I squealed as he tackled me to the floor.
"David!" I wheezed, he was fully awake as I struggled against him "David. David!" something changed and he let go and shuffled back quickly into my room and shut the door, locking it
"Shit. Mia." I heard him "Mia. Sorry doesn't even...Are you alright? Do I need to call a doctor."
"i'm alright." I breathed
"I am so sorry." i heard his voice broke.
"David, the training that made you...it's out of control." I told him through the door. There was a small silence
"Do you want me replaced?" I started to cry.
"I don't know. I don't but you need help." I said and wiped away my tears
"David."he didn't answer "David I know you didn't mean it, I know what the war can do to someone, but you need help, it won't get better without it." I stay at that door all night, come morning, i felt rough but no harm done. I showered and dressed ready for the day. Mum was going ahead with St Matthews.
We were at commons for a while before going to the College. We got the all clear to leave.
"I know it's rotten timing, but some stuff came out of the select committee, that maybe I should crack on with." Rob stated as we were leaving.
"Really?" Mum questioned
"Yes, I know, sorry."
"Do you have the speech. I asked of you?" I wondered. I had amended the speech slightly, nothing major but I wanted it run through
"Yes, there are still a couple of things before I hand it over, but i will have Tahir bring it to you for well before hand." I nodded
"I'll have the car brought around." Tom went in front of us .
"Thanks, see you later." Mum said her goodbyes and we left. David was waiting for us.
"Ma'am, traffics snarled up this side of the rivers we'll go via the bridges." he told us.
"Of Course." Mum got in and I went round the other side, I spared a glance to David before I got in. We were driving but I wasn't paying attention, my mind kept on going back to last night. i didn't realise my fingers were tapping on my bag till i felt my mum's hand on mine. I looked at her she leaned over and whispered
"Is everything okay?" I didn't answer, her hand came to my face and she wiped away a tear.
"Mia."
