-Mia-

I arrived outside SO15 building, I stared up at it for a moment before walking in. I was pissed. I marched up to the front desk

"My name is Mia Montague Jones, the home secretary's  daughter and I want DCI Sharma here right now." the woman got on the phone quickly and made the call. I waited and a couple of minutes later he came down with DS Rayburn.

"Mrs Jones." I scowled at him

"We need to talk, and you better have some answers." he took me into the interview room.

"We came to your hospital room but you were already gone, where were you?" he asked

"No, my questions first. Question 1. What the fuck!" they were taken a back

"In the past month and a half, my life has been put in danger three times due to attacks. First of October, Thornton Circus and now St Matthews, each time you've been in charge of the investigation and what have you got? nothing? What have you done? Jack shit. Now my mother is dead. My mother!"

"Mrs Jones please calm down." I took a deep breath . "I can understand you're upset..." I cut him off

"Upset? no I'm fucking furious! Someone is sewing terror into this country, into this city, into my family and there is no conclusion. My mother and I have been patient with you, trying to do your investigation I know takes time. I'm no fool, but in a month and a half all you have are two sucicde bombers. Who from what my mother told me when she was alive, aren't speaking." The door opened and Anne Sampson walked in.

"mrs Montague Jones."

"Fuck you!" i snapped "I don't trust you too do shit."

"Excuse me."

"I know it was you who had the power to hold the ARV's back during the sniper attack on my life. So piss off, you want anything from me I will deal with these two once I've finished ripping them a new one." The three officers looked at each other.

"Will you give us a minute." i nodded and they all left. I let out a big sigh. A few minutes laters Rayburn and Sharma came back.

"I wouldn't trust her if I were you, she's your boss but she is shady as shit with a capital S."

"Mrs..." I cut them off again

"Mia, my last name is long it would be simpler if you dressed me by my first name." they nodded

"Mia, where did you go after leaving the hospital?" Sharma asked

"To see PS Budd, at his home. I went to see him because there is so much shit going on I needed to speak to him an hear his side."

"Why?" Rayburn wondered

"He is/ was my PPO. I knew from the short amount of time he's been apart of my protection team he's thourgh. Annoyingly so sometimes, which is why I couldn't understand what had happened."

"So it had nothing to do with you having an affair with him?" I raised a eyebrow

"You've been through our phone records then? Yes we have a complicated relationship as it stands right now. No it wasn't because of that, I trust him, with my life."

"But the explosion." Sharma looked genuinely confused

"PS David Budd is meticulous in his work, from the time he has been with me and  my mother, I say that honestly, not because I've fucked him. He implicated some new precautionary measures upon starting."

"Like what?"

"Checking places that we go too. He searches our apartment make sure nothing is a miss. Suggesting we take different route as to not be predictable, give a less advantage to the other side, I agree sometimes it has failed but I honestly believe is not on his or our side." I sighed

"Look I know you can't tell me much but can you at least say you're making some progress. That there is hope you will catch the bastard or bastards who did this to me and my mother." they looked at each other.

"We're working our hardest." was all that he gave me

"Can you walk us through the day of the attack." I nodded

"Times are a bit varied but we left our flat and headed to the office to collect some papers for the day, my mother and I like to work on things on route. I was feeling off that day."

"Why?"

"Rough night, let's just say Thornton Circus really messed me up." I replied "So i was distracted, anyway we headed to commons for about a hour, hour and half before we needed to be at St Matthews."

"How was your mother during this time."

"Concerned. She may have been home secretary but she was my mother first, she could tell something was off with me. She had enough to worry about so I brushed her off while we were in the car. But she also seemed...anxious and not the regular kind like nervous anxious."

"Meaning."

"It's hard to put my finger on it, but i seemed to me  that something big was coming. I don't know."

"Okay and then what?" Sharma wondered

"Sometime later we arrived at St Matthews, because of the protesters we didn't get out straight away. David got out first."

"PS Budd." I nodded

"It was a minute or two at the most. My mother told him to get me out first."

"Would she normally do that?" I shook my head

" No, but she did this time. David came to me first and the guided me around then my mother, he escorted both of us inside.." I continued on

"Why did you message PS Budd minutes before the explosion?" Rayburn asked

"You know when the hair's on your neck stand up when you know something was wrong." they nodded "I had that feeling, something was wrong but I didn't know what, I was anxious and i looked to where he was supposed to be standing for reassurance, he wasn't there i texted him and he was on the other side."

"What can you tell us about Tahir Mahmoud?"

"Tahir, he was nice. Very helpful, if my work piled up. Wanted to do his job right and help my mother in her bid for RIPA 18."

"Did he agree with the bill."

"I don't know, whether he did or he didn't he never let it be known."

"Can you think of anyone who would want to hurt you or your mother?"

"A lot of people, My mum was trying to pass a bill that would mess with a lot of shady people's business, terrorists being one of them. There are a number of ways you can hurt someone, one of them directly another would be through me. Specific names, none that come to mind."

"Okay, I think that is it for now, we have asked for your father to be called so someone will be here to take you out."

"Deep joy." they looked confused

"I sneakily leave the hospital during a bodyguard shift change and while he's out getting coffee. I'm an adult but he still be annoyed."
