DS Rayburn was escorting David to SO15. Why? Because Anne Sampson thought it was a good idea to use him to get something out of Nadia Ali, one of the 1st Oct Bombers that had been brought in. Rayburn kept glancing at David through the rearview mirror.
"What's with the new look?" she asked as he sat in the backseat of her car. He didn't answer, she turned the radio off and asked again.
"The hat?"
"Keeps my head warm, he answered. She scoffed slightly.
"Do me a favour, mate and remove the headgear." he didn't make any move to. "Well you're going to have to at some point" he finally removed the hat and she saw the bruise from where the blank bullet had hit.
"You didn't get that in the explosion. What happened?"
"A gas ring was playing up, had my head right above the hob, didn't realise the gas was open on one of the other rings till i heat the spark." he lied. Rayburn didn't completely believe him but decided not to question it further.

"I'm now going to hand you over to Police Sargent Budd."
"As-salamu alaykum" he greeted

"This is all very intimidating. That's why the officers here thought it would be a good idea for me to talk with you." he gave a brief pause.
"That was scary, on the train, when we met, I'm really glad, no one got hurt that day."
"I am too. Thank you for helping me." he nodded
"Nadia, what I would like to do is ask you some questions about the bomb you intended to use on the train. Would that be alright?" Nadia nodded
"Sorry, Nadia, is it okay of you could speak up, for the recording." Rayburn interjected
"Oh sorry, yes."
"How did you obtain the bomb?" David asked. Nadia looked nervously at Rayburn.
"I know your frightened but we can protect you. Now you believe me don't you?" Nadia nodded again.
"Sorry, Nadia."
"Oh, sorry, umm yes."
"Where did it come from?" David questioned.
"my husband." she answered
"At this point, I should note for the tape that i've briefed my clients on the legal compelablity of a spouse. And Nadia's appropriate adult is satisfied that she's cooperating of her own free will."
"Thank you." Rayburn looked at them both.
"Your husband gave it to you to wear?" David carried on questioning. Nadia shifted uncomfortably in her chair

"I know this is very upsetting. But you're doing really well." he told her and Rayburn enforced it, by saying the same
