Your POV
For the twentieth time, Timmy clears his throat and shakes his head, as if trying to clear his mind.

"What are you thinking about?" I ask him, eyes focused on the road ahead of me. We're driving out of the city to go hiking, and the rural roads are beautiful.

"Nothing," he replies. "How long until we're there?"

"Another 45 minutes," I answer. I nod my head to the music playing in the car.

I can't wait to hike with Timmy. We've never gone before, and it's one of my favorite things to do.

"Did you hike a lot when you were younger?" I ask him. When he doesn't answer, I turn to him and realize he's just staring at me. "What?" I ask, defensively. He clears his throat again and his eyes snap back to reality.

"Um... uh... no. Did you?"

Weird.

"Yeah. There are lots of hiking places in Oregon." I see him nod out of the corner of my eye. For a while, we just drive, listening to our music. I realize a few minutes later that he's staring at me out of the corner of his eye.

"Okay, Timmy, seriously. What?" I ask.

"Nothing, nothing," he dismisses it and locks his eyes on the open road in front of us.

"No for real. What are you thinking about?" I ask.

"Nothing."

I roll my eyes.

"It's just... when you do that. God when you do that it really distracts me," he sighs.

"When I do what?"

He raises his eyebrows at me as if I should know exactly what he's talking about.

"When you bite your lip like that, Y/N! It's so... hot!" he says, exasperated.

I laugh.

"I'm sorry, gosh. I didn't even know I was doing it."

"Yeah. You've been doing it this whole time, and I can't think about anything else," he says.

I laugh again. It's funny to me that something so little can spiral him.

We sit in silence for a minute longer, and then I intentionally bite my lip again, trying to make it look as sexy as possible.

"Stoppppp!" he says, grinning and covering his face with his hands. "It just makes me want to slam you against a wall and make out with you," he says, bringing his hands away from his face and reaching over to place one on my thigh. His long fingers wrap around me, and for a moment, I'm the one distracted. "Look at the road!" he says.

I realize I was drifting into the other lane and swerve to right it. Now he's the one laughing at me.

"Let's make it to our hike and then we'll distract each other," I say.

"Deal."
