It was the next day, people flooded the halls getting to their classes, Y/n was in her potions class with Draco. When it just began, Potter walked in with Weasley, Slughorn looked at them and spoke, "Harry, m'boy! I was beginning to worry! And I see we've brought someone with us." Y/n huffed as they enchanted words and whispered to Draco, "They're late and they get a parade, if it were any other student he would kick them out." "Highlight of the chosen one," Draco replied, making her giggle lightly. Harry saw them and decided to stand close to them, just in case so he can catch any important information. "Now, as I was saying, I've prepared a few concoctions this morning," Slughorn told. "Any ideas what these might be? Yes, Miss...?"
"Granger, sir," Hermione replied. "That one there is Veritaserum. And that would be Polyjuice Potion. And that... is Amortentia. The most powerful love potion in the world. It's rumored to smell differently to each person, according to what attracts them. For example, I smell freshly mown grass and new parchment and spearmint toothpaste." "I don't smell anything," Y/n said to Draco. "What?" Draco questioned, nervously. "No, don't worry, it doesn't affect me," Y/n assured. "It's just how I am, but I can get a hint of something from it... like apples." Draco smirked then spoke, "Smells like Halloween." "Halloween?" Y/n questioned. "Yeah, like your house. Pumpkins, candy, candied apples, and... sulfur and chocolate and some strawberries." Y/n smiled and pecked his cheek as she wrapped her arm around his torso.
"Sir, you haven't told us what's in that one," A gryffindor spoke up. "Ah yes," he spoke, picking it up. "What you see before you, ladies and gentlemen, is a curious little potion known as Felix Felicis, but it is more commonly referred to as-" "Liquid Luck," Hermione cut off. "Yes, Miss Granger," Slughorn replied. "Desperately tricky to make. Disastrous should you get it wrong, but brewed correctly, as this has been, it has remarkable powers. One sip and you will find that all your endeavors succeed... at least until the effects wear off." "Interesting," Y/n said to herself. "So. This is what I offer each of you today. One tiny vial of liquid luck... to the student who, in the hour that remains, manages to brew an acceptable Draught of Living Death, the recipe for which can be found on page ten of your textbook," Slughorn informed. "You should know that in all the years of my previous tenure at Hogwarts, not once did a student brew a potion of sufficient quality to claim this prize. In any event -- good luck."
They all went to the stations and started working, everyone was struggling to cut the bean, even Y/n. She was fed up then she placed her knife down and looked around to see if anyone was watching, then used magic to crush the bean in the cauldron. "You want Liquid Luck that badly?" Draco asked. "Don't need it, but it would be a nice steal or bargaining tool for a poor unfortunate soul," Y/n smirked as she stirred the cauldron. "What is anyone gonna do? Snitch?" Draco let out a small laugh as she continued brewing the potion perfectly following the instruction. Right when she was about to finish and say so, Potter interrupted, "All done!" Y/n scoffed, setting her book down just as she finished. "Damn it," Y/n huffed as Slughorn tested it.
"Merlin's Beard! But it's perfect. So perfect I daresay one sip would kill us all!" Slughorn beamed then took out the bottle. "Here you are then, as promised... One bottle of Felix Felicis. Use it well." Y/n noticed Potter tuck his old book away and thought for a moment before the class was dismissed. "No need to be upset, love?" Draco said as they walked to the next class. "Oh, no, I'm not upset," Y/n assured. "It's just something I detected, however he was able to do it has to do with that book he tucked away. Something about it made him protective of it like it's the key." Y/n thought then shook it off then said, "What am I doing? I can't be worrying about Potter and his band of merry men, the only guy I should worry about is you."
Draco smiled and put her arm around her and they went off to their next class.

It was a snowy day, Draco and Y/n went to Hogsmeade to spend the day together before going to the Three Broomsticks. "So, what is it you need to do?" Draco asked as they sat down in a booth, being close to each other. "Just need someone to spare me a cursed necklace," Y/n said, seeing a girl go in the bathroom. "And I think I found someone. Get me a butterbeer, please, my love." Y/n kissed his cheek then went off, hiding a package in her coat before going to the bathroom. Potter caught her, she gave him a glare before walking in the bathroom and waited for the girl to come out of the stalls. When the girl walked out of the stall and washed her hands as Y/n walked up to her. "Hi," Y/n spoke, using her charm. "Oh, hey," She smiled. "You're Y/n, right? I'm Katie, the boys talk about you all the time."
"Well, I have that effect," Y/n joked making Katie laugh lightly. "You're a Gryffindor, right?" "Yeah, I play for the Quidditch team," Katie answered. "Well then, you can help me with something," Y/n said. "Sure, what is it you need?" Katie agreed. "Just your mind," Y/n smiled and waved her hand causing Katie to go into a trance. Y/n smirked then took the package out and opened it to reveal a necklace then casted a curse over it before closing it. "Now, I need you to take this to Dumbledore, say that a ministry owl accidentally dropped it off to you and it was meant for him," Y/n said and Katie took the box. "Now go and forget that we ever met." Katie nodded then walked out, Y/n smiled then fixed her hair before walking out of the bathroom and rejoined Draco who was waiting with the drinks.
"How did the meeting go?" Draco asked. "Good, she didn't even know what was coming," Y/n smirked. "Dumbledore's a dead man." Draco smiled, kissing her cheek and they continued their date as normal. Halfway through, Y/n saw Slughorn talking with Potter and watched Harry agree to something then looked away. "Ms. Y/n," Slughorn greeted, walking up to her. "Good day, professor," Y/n replied. "What brings you here?" "Oh, the Three Broomsticks and I go way back. Longer than I'd care to admit. In fact, I remember when it was simply One Broomstick!" he joked. Y/n laughed falsely then Slughorn spoke, "Listen, in the old days, I used to throw together the occasional supper and invite a select student or two. Would you be game?"
Y/n glanced at Potter's table, they were watching her and they quickly looked away and Y/n smiled lightly, "I consider it an honor." "Brilliant, look for my owl," Slughorn smiled then looked at Draco. "Good to see you, Malthod." He walked away and Draco scoffed, "How insulting." "He's tpsy," Y/n replied, running her fingertip gently through the side of his hair. "Potter has been weirdly on my tail and I would like to know why other than thinking you're a death eater. Slughorn invited him to that dinner, if anything I get a good meal out of it." Draco laughed lightly before putting his arm around her as they continued enjoying each other's company.
