"Hermione's been petrified," I said with false concern. I was walking down the halls with Harry and Ron after the school went to full defense mode. "It happened in the library," Harry told her. "I got this journal, it took me to the past where I saw this boy about sixteen. His name was Tom Riddle, he showed me that Hagrid opened the Chamber but I soon realized he didn't. It's complicated, but that's where we are." "That's... crazy," I said, walking ahead of them both to hide my smirk. "What now?" "We don't know," Ron sighed. "We just... don't." I turned to them, frowning a bit then Harry said, "Anyway, we're gonna go visit Hermione. Want to come along?" "Of course," I replied then we went to the hospital wing.

Harry placed the flowers down he had for her and sat down next to her bed. "I'm sorry I didn't help much," I said. "You helped plenty," Harry assured. "Wish she was here still," Ron frowned. "We need you, Hermione, now more than ever," Harry sighed grabbing her hand. His face faltered then took out a piece of paper and spoke, "This is it." "What is?" I questioned. "The Beast in the chamber," Harry beamed reading the letter. "'Of the many fearsome beasts that roam our land, none is more deadly than the Basilisk. Capable of living for hundreds of years, instant death awaits any who meet this giant serpent's eye. Spiders flee before it and only the crowing of the rooster can kill it.'"

Harry looked up smiling, "Guys! This is it! The monster in the Chamber of Secrets is a Basilisk. That's why I can hear it speak. It's a snake." "How can you be sure?" I reasoned trying to throw them off. "I mean, it kills just by looking at people yet no one is dead." "Because no one did look it in the eye," Harry realized. "Not directly at least... Colin saw it through his camera. Justin -- Justin must've seen the Basilisk through Nearly Headless Nick! Nick got the full blast of it, but he's a ghost -- he couldn't die again...  And Hermione... had the mirror! I bet you anything she was using it to look round corners, in case it came along." "What about the cat?" I questioned. "I'm pretty sure she didn't have a camera or a mirror, Harry."

"The water," Harry spoke. "There was water on the floor that night. She only saw the Basilisk's reflection." "We need to go, now," Ron insisted. "You guys go, I'll stay by Hermione's side," I replied. "Someone needs to be here when she wakes up." They agreed then ran out and once they were gone, I clenched my fist causing the flower vase to shatter. "Clever girl," I spat looking at Hermione. "You should have been the first he went after. I know you can't hear me, or see me for that matter. So, get used to being like that cause this is my game and I better win." I waved my hand and I appeared in the chamber next to Ginny's body, she was on the ground unconscious. "Ms, Morningstar," Riddle's sixteen-year-old image greeted. "Don't worry, she'll be dead soon."

"I wouldn't count on it," I huffed. "Potter, he knows about the basilisk and soon he'll know how to get to the chamber." "What do you want me to do?" Riddle questioned. "Isn't it obvious?" I replied. "Kill him, make sure that no one will be able to stop me from collecting the souls you kill. Remember who you belong to, succeed and you'll live again. Fail and you'll be on very thin ice." Riddle nodded then I waved my hand, appearing in the common room. Luckily, Draco was the only one in there. "Good, you're here," I said sitting next to him in a huff. "You okay?" He asked. "I will be, hopefully," I sighed. "Something happened that might interfere with everything I'm planning." "You'll find a way, you always do," Draco assured, tucking something more into his robe.

"What are you doing?" I questioned. "Nothing," he said quickly. I gave him a look then glanced at his pocket and quickly took out the notepad he tucked away. "Hey," Draco said, trying to get it back. "What are you hiding?" I smiled, getting up as he tried to grab it. I flipped through the pages smiling then spoke, "You draw all these?" "No," Draco replied. "Because drawing is... s-stupid." "Hey, no it's not," I said sitting back down next to him. "This is really good, Draco, and you know it's true because I'd tell you if you're horrible." "Sadly, I know that's true," Draco sighed. "Why do you hide this?" I asked, handing back his notepad. "You're gonna make fun of me," Draco said, putting it away. "No, I won't," I assured. Draco hesitated then spoke, "I'm just... shy about it. Call it a guilty pleasure."
