I walked back to the camp to see Draco holding the sword of Gryffindor as Harry held the broken locket. "What happened while I was gone?" I questioned. Draco dropped the sword and hugged me tightly which I returned, he held me at arms length and spoke, "What happened? Where did you go? Where did you get the necklace?" "I had to talk to Meg," I explained. "I got my memory back and solved the compass, this gem can control me which is why he gave it to me. It's a long story, but Meg and I are on good terms and I'm okay. I'm sorry for scaring you, I-" Draco cut me off with a soft kiss then held my face before pulling away and spoke, "It doesn't matter, you're safe." I smiled, "I'm more than okay, I have someone watching me now." "Well, we found the sword and destroyed the Horcrux," Harry informed.
"I see that," I spoke. "What now?" "I want to go and see Xenophilius Lovegood," Hermione mentioned, showing us the book she found in the old woman's house. "See this? It's a letter Dumbledore wrote to Grindelwald. Look at the signature. It's the mark again. It keeps popping up. Here, in Beedle the Bard, in the graveyard in Godric's Hollow and the wand shop you and Harry saw in your vision. This means something, I know it. Maybe he knows why Dumbledore wants us to know the deathly hallows." "I'm willing to go if you all are," I said. "I think Hermione's right. I think we ought to go and see Lovegood," Ron agreed. "Then we should leave right away," Harry insisted. We got our things together and we traveled to his place since we didn't get a clear description of the house.
We knocked on the door and a blonde man opened the door just a crack when he answered. "Who is it? Who are you?" He questioned. "Hello, Mr. Lovegood," Harry greeted. "I'm Harry Potter. We met a few months back? Would it be okay if we came in? It won't take long, sir, I promise." He gave us all a look then let us in willingly and we sat down as he served us tea. "What brings you all here?" Mr. Lovegood asked. "Well, we need help," I told. "I was wondering if someone told you anything about that necklace you were wearing." "This one?" He questioned, showing me pendent. "Yes," I confirmed. "Is there anything about it anyone told you about?" Harry asked. "Perhaps Dumbledore." Mr. Lovegood hesitated, then spoke, "There are rumors... whispers going around that you-know-who is searching for one of them." "Which one?" Draco asked. "Which one do you think?" Lovegood replied. "He's looking for the wand, with it -- he can have everything, but... he needs something else. Something more that will assure his success."
"What?" Hermione asked. He glanced at me then got up quickly, grabbing the teapot. "Ah, but your tea's grown cold," he said. "Excuse me, I'll be right back." He left, we all shared a look then grabbed our things as Ron spoke, "Let's get out of here once he's back. I'm not touching this stuff, hot or cold." We walked down the stairs and saw him in the kitchen. "Thank you, Mr. Lovegood, we better go-" "No!" he shouted, going to the door and blocking it. He let out a shaky breath then turned to us and looked at me directly. "You're my only hope," He said. Draco pulled me behind him as he spoke, "They were angry, you see, about what I'd been writing, so they took her. They took my Luna..." "Who did?" Harry questioned. I shook my head as he looked at him and spoke, "Voldemort." A screech was heard and the house started blowing up as death eaters attacked us causing us all to take cover. We all went to each other and grabbed hands before teleporting away to the forest once again. "That treacherous old bleeder!" Ron huffed. "Is there no one we can trust!" "The man lost his daughter," Draco reasoned. "Don't blame him, we need to make camp and set enchantments."
We all agreed, I brushed myself off when people popped up behind the trees, they were snatchers. "Hello, beautiful," One said to me. "Ew," I grimaced. More appeared and we all shared a look then started running away as they started chasing after us. We separated ways, trying to shake them off. I tried shooting them as I ran away, I saw Draco and Hermione. Hermione looked back and they shared a look then pointed their wand at me and Harry who was behind me causing us to fall to the floor, getting a vision of Riddle interrogating Grindelwald for the elder wand. Draco helped me up as the snatchers surrounded us and I spoke, "The hallows, they exist. Riddle only wants the one, the last one. That's what he's been looking for, the wand." Snatchers pulled us apart, I knew my features changed but that wasn't important to me at the moment.
