Everyone was in the great hall, waiting for the names to be announced for the cup. I was sitting next to Draco as always and we watched as Dumbledore spoke, "And now the moment you've all been waiting for, the selection of the champion!" He approached the goblet and its flames turned red before a piece of a paper shot of the flame. "The Durmstrang champion is ... Viktor Krum!" His school cheered for him and he went up to Dumbledore, shaking his hand before going to the back room. The flame turned red again and another paper fluttered out as Dumbledore caught it. "The champion from Beauxbatons... Fleur Delacour," Dumble announced causing her school to cheer for her. "Poor girl, she won't last two minutes," I said to Draco, making him smirk. Dumbledore caught the last piece of paper and read, "The champion for Hogwarts is... Cedric Diggory!"

The school cheered for the Hufflepuff as he got up and went to the back room.
"Excellent! We now have our three champions! But in the end, only one will go down in history," Dumbledore spoke. "Only one will hoist this chalice of champions, this vessel of victory the tri-wizard cup!" The cloth was ripped off the blue glowing trophy causing everyone to cheer, until a moment later. The flame turned red again causing everyone to go quiet, I smirked knowing what was happening. Dumbledore caught it then spoke, "Harry Potter... Harry Potter." Draco looked at me and I smiled evilly, giving him a wink. "Harry Potter!" Dumbledore shouted. Harry was pushed forward, people were shouting at him, calling him a cheat, it was perfect.

He was taken to the backroom, I giggled evilly then we were shooed off to our house. "Now what?" Draco asked as we entered my room. "Now, I have to try to figure out what the first task is," I spoke. At that moment, a small roar of the fire was heard and I turned to see a letter appear. I grabbed it and opened it up and smirked. "Thank you, daddy," I said to myself. "My father already knows, dragons." "Dragons?" Draco questioned. "Yep," I smiled. "So, I'm gonna get that ginger to get Harry to see them, his brother is bringing them. I have an idea how to get him the win." "Do you need me for anything?" Draco asked. "Not this time, but give Potter hell for me," I smiled before going off.

The next day, I went through the forest with a potion in my hands as I approached the dragons in the cage. "Hey, miss," The only worker there at the time said. "You can't-" I lifted my hand, causing him to freeze in place, I walked past him and went to the first dragon. I looked at the bottle then it hissed at me, I spoke, "Don't worry, I won't poison you. A drop of this will just let me have the ability to control you for the task, you won't feel a thing for now." I took the stopper out and dropped a bit of the potion on his claw, I did that to every dragon and put the potion away. I went back to the worker and huffed before unfreezing him and he resumed his sentence, "-be here, it's restricted." "Oh, I'm so sorry, I just wanted to see the dragons," I apologized. "I'll just be on my way." I turned and smirked as I walked back to school. When I walked back, Draco was running away from something and saw me, making a full sprint towards me.

He stopped and I spoke, "What's going on? Why is your hair so messed up?" "Long story short, Moody or Crouch Jr. turned me into a bloody ferret," Draco answered. "He what?" I snarled, clenching my fist. "Go freshen up, I'm gonna make sure that fraud knows his place." I stormed off and went to Barty's office, I burst in and barked, "You turned Draco into a ferret!?" He looked surprised for a moment then spoke, "I had to gain Potter's trust-" "Do you know what I can do to you?" I spat. "The dark lord himself fears me, so imagine what I can do to people who touch what's mine! I don't care how you gain Potter's trust, you don't involve my Draco into it! Do you understand? Or do I have to call my father?" "No, I'm sorry," He said, scared. "Good," I replied. "Now, I slipped a potion to the dragon's, once Potter enters the stadium, I'll be in control of the beast. Does he have a plan?"

"Yes, he plans on using his wand to summon his broom," Crouch Jr. told. "He's a fair flyer," I spoke. "He can hold his own till I cool the beast, you're lucky you're still useful. Next time you tamper with what's mine, I'll make sure my father is the first one to know." He nodded cowardly then I walked away, slamming the door behind me.

It was time for the first task, Draco and I were with each other in the stands waiting for it to begin. "You think he'll do it?" Draco questioned. "With me on his side, he'll pass this with relative ease," I assured. "Let's just hope he doesn't do anything stupid." "Well, that's fifty-fifty," Draco replied. I smiled then the canon went off, Cedric was the first one out. He did a pretty good job compared to Fleur, but so far Krum was the most agile. I looked at the cages and they brought out a horntail, the toughest dragon to get. "Now, for our final contestant, Harry Potter!" Dumbledore announced. The crowd cheered as he walked out of the stadium, I held the rail as the dragon swooped down at him. Harry started running away then shouted, "Accio Firebolt!" The dragon tried attacking him again as his firebolt came swopping in and he jumped on it.

I noticed the dragon start breaking free of its chains, I held onto the rails and closed my eyes, concentrating.

3rd person pov:

Y/n opened her eyes feeling the spell work, the dragon broke free from its binds and started putting on a show. The dragon started chasing Harry for a moment, Harry looked into the crowd then noticed Y/n not breaking eye contact with the dragon. Harry led it down then moved out of the way causing it to crash into the wall. He looked back at Y/n and she blinked after the dragon was knocked out, Harry noticed something. The dragon wasn't knocked out or passed out due to pain, it was asleep... just taking a nap. People applauded as Harry grabbed the egg, people rushed to praise him when he walked out of the stadium. He saw Y/n and noticed a small smirk on her face as she grabbed Draco and led him away from everyone, talking to him about something.

After they entered the common room and everything was sorted out, Harry went to the great hall with his friend for refreshments. "She helped you?" Hermione questioned. "Why would you even believe that?" "It's what you said first year, Mione," Harry reasoned. "You have to keep eye contact when you're casting a spell, Y/n wasn't blinking. I didn't even touch the dragon and it didn't even try to attack me. She put it to sleep at the end, she smirked at my victory." "So what? After two years of hating your guts, she now fancies you?" Ron scoffed. "I'm not saying she fancies me, I'm saying maybe a part of her from second-year still wants to be our friend," Harry responded. "Harry, she was only pretending to be our friend," Hermione said. "She called you a scarhead, Ron poor, and she makes fun of my teeth and calls me mudblood."

"She's right, mate," Ron mentioned. "Remember how she faked an injury so her father can get the community to kill Buckbeak." "Harry, as much as you want to see the good in her, there is none," Hermione reasoned. "Trust me, that girl is a demon." Harry thought then Y/n bumped by him with Draco. "Oops," She smirked. "Congrats, Potter, didn't think you had any fight in you. Though you look drag, you should probably get some water before the next task. Lord knows what will happen next." She walked away with Draco and Hermione spoke, "See, a demon." "No, that was strange," Harry spoke. "She didn't insult me or you guys... what if..." "What if what?" Ron questioned. "Follow me," Harry said, leading them away. He grabbed the egg and went to the lake with them, he put the egg down in the water and opened it with caution.

They didn't hear a screech, they heard a voice, singing softly, "Come seek us where our voice is found... we can not sing above the ground... an hour-long you have to look... to discover what we took..." Harry closed the egg then brought it out and spoke, "She is trying to help." "So what if she is," Hermione said. "The question is why? All she's ever been is cruel and manipulative." "She's trying to make amends or maybe she's trying to be a better person," Harry suggested. "She has been getting close to Malfoy." "Like Malfoy would change her," Ron scoffed. "The point is, now we owe her," Harry said. "Whether it's good or bad, she's on our side. Let's be thankful." The two huffed, then agreed before going back to the castle.
