It was a week later, I was with Draco in our compartment, reading over the daily prophet with him when the trolley lady came around. "Do you want anything?" Draco asked. "No, send her away," I huffed. Draco got up and did so, before sitting back down next to me. "No casualties," I read. "You seem alright with that," Draco mentioned. "Because people are scared," I said. "When people are scared, they look for solutions." "Meaning deals for you and your family," Draco detected. "See, now you're getting it," I smirked, putting the paper away. "Things are gonna change, and I'll be there to make sure." The train stopped then Draco spoke, "Would you like me to carry your bag?" "I think I got it," I assured, jokingly as we walked off. "Just trying to be a gentleman," Draco said, opening the door for me.
"You mean, more than you are?" I smiled. "You're fine." We hopped in a carriage, we were about to start moving, till someone stopped the cart. "Come on, this is the only one," Hermione said. Unfortunately, it was Potter and the other two. I huffed, crossing my arms, and sat back as they hopped in the carriage.
3rd person pov:
"How was the game, Potter?" Y/n smirked. "I heard it was to die for." Harry huffed, shaking his head as Hermione snarled at her. "Too tough to talk? How... disappointing," Y/n sighed sarcastically, moving her hair aside. Harry looked at her and noticed the red highlights she had. "You dye your hair?" Harry thought out loud. Y/n gave him a strange look as Draco snapped his head towards him. "Harry, that was weird," Hermione sighed. "I don't if you must know," Y/n said. "Runs in family." "Who might that be?" Ron asked. "Nice try," Draco replied, protectively. "Stop asking." Harry couldn't help but get a feeling that there was more, the only people he knew in the wizarding world with red hair are the Weasleys and his mother.
He shook it off, thinking it was a coincidence and they continued the rest of the ride in silence, on their way to the castle.
Your pov:
We finally arrived at the castle, the heroes went out first, Harry being the last. When he was about to hop out, I tripped him causing him to land face-first in the mud. "Oops," I smirked as Draco offered his hand to help me out. "You probably tripped on your hair, Rapunzel." Draco and I laughed as we continued our way inside to the Great hall. We waited for the feast to begin, Dumbledore stood up then announced, "Now that we're all settled in and sorted, I'd like to make an announcement. This castle will not only be your home this year but home to some very special guests as well. You see, Hogwarts has been chosen to host a legendary event. The Tri-Wizard tournament!"
Kids started to whisper and I smirked before Dumbledore continued, "Now for those of you who do not know, the Tri-wizard tournament brings together three schools for a series of magical contests. From each school, a single contestant is selected to compete. Now let me be clear, if chosen you stand alone. And trust me when I say these contests are not for the faint-hearted, but more of that later. For now please join me in welcoming the lovely ladies of the Beauxbatons Academy of magic and their headmistress Madame Maxime." At that moment, the doors swung open to reveal a group of girls in silk blue dresses, and matching hats. The strutted down the aisle in perfect sync then leaned to one side while letting out a breath sigh before doing the same to the other side.
I rolled my eyes seeing all the boys in the Great hall swoon over them as they ran down the rest of the way. Magic sprouted from their hands when they stopped, causing butterflies to go out to the tables. One flew around me, squirming around me as I tried to shoo it away then got frustrated causing it to catch fire. "That's one way to get rid of it," Draco said, brushing it off the table. "They're just too perky," I huffed. "Don't worry, I hate it too," Draco replied. "It's okay if you swoon, nobody will judge you," I sighed, trying not to let it bother me. "Eh, they're not all that," Draco said. "Really?" I scoffed. "You don't think any of them look good in that dress?" "No," Draco answered. "They don't."
I gave him a look then turned back to the door as Dumbledore announced, "And now our friends from the north, please greet the proud sons of Durmstrang and the high master Igor Karkaroff." At that moment, a group of guys busted through the doors with staff'. They started hitting them on the ground causing sparks to appear, they did tricks with the staff and fire. "That's Victor Krum," Draco told as he walked through the doors. "The guy at the Quidditch cup. This whole school is mainly dark arts, my dad wanted to send me there." At the end of their entrance, they erupted a huge stream of fire causing everyone to be in awe. Once everything was situated, the feast commenced. "What a waste of fire," I mentioned. "That's what you say after that?" Draco said in a bit of disbelief. "They're everything you like, dark magic, and don't mind the heat. You love that, and they're already mesmerized by you."
Draco indicated as a group of Durmstrang boys was already staring at me before they looked away. "Great," I huffed. "Seriously, you would love someone easy to manipulate," Draco said. "I told you, I want something real," I replied. "Besides, they're not all that." "Any girl would love to have Krum," Draco said, indicating the group of girls giggling while staring at the player. "I'm not any girl," I told. "Don't I know it," Draco smirked. I scoffed playfully, nudging him a bit then we continued our feast. We walked to the common room together then bid each other goodnight before we went to our rooms.
3rd person pov:
Y/n wrote to her parents then crawled into bed, before waving her hand causing the lights to go off and drifted off to sleep. A moment later, Meg appeared in her room to do what she usually does. She put on her gloves then went up to Y/n and pulled up the image of her dream. It was strange, she saw an old man with a lantern, walking up the steps of an old, spooky house. Meg waved her hand over it, but it didn't change. She furrowed her brows and kept trying to swipe it away but nothing worked, she kept watching the dream. The old man walked up the stairs, spotting Wormtail and Barty Jr. talking to Lucifer and a dark silhouette which Meg knew was Y/n. They were talking to someone on the chair then they spotted the man. 'Step aside so I can give our guest a proper greeting,' Voldemort hissed. 'Avada Kedavra!'
The man was shot with a green light and fell to the floor, dead. Meg gasped, seeing it happen then Lucifer walked up to the man and spoke, 'Poor soul, muggle too. He has a place in the sky, though.' "No," Meg breathed out, trying her hardest to change it. Nothing worked, Y/n started to stir causing Meg to step back quickly then disappeared as Y/n shot awake. She was sweating, breathing heavily, why was she scared? That dream wasn't at all scary to her, why is she reacting like this if she already lived through the moment. Y/n calmed herself then got out of bed and snuck out of her room, through the common room, then to the boy's dorm. She searched each one for a name, then finally found it. Y/n leaned against it then appeared on the other side and searched for someone, in the far corner, Draco was asleep. She got on the bed and started shaking him awake gently.
"Draco," She whispered. "Draco!" "Not now, soon," He mumbled. "Draco, wake up!" Y/n whispered loudly. "Stop pranking me, Blaise," Draco huffed, turning around and sat up. He was surprised when he saw Y/n, sitting on her legs. "Y/n?" Draco questioned. "Am I dreaming?" "You dream of me?" Y/n smirked lightly. Draco smiled then noticed how frightened she was and how she was holding herself. "Are you okay?" Draco asked. "Why are you here? Did you get scared?" "Yeah," Y/n admitted. "I don't know how I had this dream. It was more like a memory from a few weeks ago but from a different perspective. It's... hard to explain, but I-I didn't know where else to go. It was really scary for no reason." "You had a nightmare," Draco said softly, leaning back on his hands. "It's a dream you get really scared about."
"I never had one," Y/n admitted. "I didn't know who else to go to, you were the first person I wanted to see..." Draco smiled lightly then Y/n moved closer to him and spoke, "I really don't want to be alone Draco." Draco swallowed, flustered then said, "Y-You can stay with me tonight..." Y/n looked at him as he added, "I-If you want that is, I mean it's weird to ask a friend. If you want me to just keep you company-" Y/n cut him off when she laid down and pulled the sheets over herself, waiting for him to join her. Draco looked at her nervously then got up and closed the curtains around his bed before laying back down. "You can get in the covers too," Y/n said. "Right," Draco said, doing so. He laid on his back, trying not to get too flustered.
Y/n turned to him, looking at him for a moment before getting closer and laid her head on his chest as she wrapped her arms around his torso. Draco's breath caught his throat as he felt his face heat up, this had to be a dream. There's no way this was happening. Y/n nuzzled into his neck, making Draco smile as he wrapped his arms around her securely causing Y/n to let out a relaxed sigh. All the uneasy tension left her body as she curled up on Draco's chest. Draco let out a breath he didn't know he was holding, both of them drifting off to one of the best sleep they had in their lives.
