"Welcome, my children. In this room, you shall explore the mysterious art of Divination," Professor Trelawney said to the class. We were in division class the next day, it was quite dull compared to the other classes. I was sitting across Draco at our own table, we had tea cups in front of us as we waited for the lesson to start. "In this room, you shall discover if you possess-" She bumped into the table causing us to laugh lightly. "The Sight. Together, we shall cast ourselves into the future. But know this. One either has the Gift or not. It cannot be divined from the pages of a book. Books only cloud one's Inner Eye." "She seems a bit crazy," Draco whispered. "A bit?" I replied. "The first term will be devoted to the reading of tea leaves," Trelawney said. "Broaden your minds, my dears. And allow your eyes to see... beyond."
I shook my head looking around my seat then book and huffed, "I forgot my book-" "Here," Multiple people said at once handing me their books. "Um, no, thank you," I replied. "Here, just share mine," Draco insisted and I agreed. "What does mine say?" I asked. "You have a cross," Draco answered. "That's trials and suffering." "Hmm," I hummed not really caring. "You have a kite and... what looks like a house. So, something will change which will make your wishes come true. Congrats." Draco smiled then Trelawney went up to Weasley and Potter. "Ah! Your aura is pulsing, are you in the beyond!?" She exclaimed. "Sure," Ron said uneasily. "What do you see in Mr. Potter's cup, Mr. Weasley?" Trelawny asked.
"He's got a wonky sort of cross -- that's trials and suffering. But this lot here could be the sun -- that's great happiness. So... he's going to suffer but be very happy about it," Ron told making me and Draco laugh lightly, "Let me see," Trelawney insisted, then gasped dropping the cup. "My boy... you have the grim." I smirked as someone asked, "What's the Grim?" "Taking the form of a giant spectral dog, it is among the darkest omens in our world. It is an omen... of death," A kid read. "Wow," I smiled evilly. "I think I like this class." The bell rang, Draco and I started walking to Hagrid's hut for the care of magical creatures class. "You think that's true?" Draco questioned. "Who cares?" I smiled.
"This school just got interesting, besides, I'm sure fate will save Saint Potter before anything can even touch him." "What will happen to him if he does?" Draco asked. "He'll take his place in the sky," I answered. "Doesn't matter to me." "C'mon now, get a move on! Got a real treat for yeh," Hagrid announced. "Great lesson comin' up. Follow me." We made our way through the forbidden forest on the path. "This book is-" "I'll carry it for you!" A group of boys said behind us. "Strange," I finished. "I can handle myself, thanks." Draco allowed me to go forward a bit, forming a barrier between me and the boys as we walked on. "Gather 'round. Find yerself a spot," Hagrid insisted. "That's it. Now, firs' thing yeh'll want ter do is open yer books to page 48."
"Exactly how do we do that?" Draco huffed. "You stroke the spine, of course," Hagrid replied. We shared a look then did so before going to rest our stuff on the small stone wall. "I think they're funny," Hermione spoke. "Oh yeah, terribly funny, really witty," Draco scoffed. "God, this place is going to the dogs. Wait until my father hears Dumbledore's got this oaf teaching classes." I laughed with the others then Harry spoke up, "Shut up, Malfoy." I raised my eyebrow at him as the others ooed, Draco smirked then handed his bag off to some kid and stepped up to Potter. I watched as Harry looked ready to fight, Draco's expression dropped as he looked up and started acting scared. "Dementor! Dementor!" He shouted pointing causing all of them to look.
I shook my head laughing as he made his way back to us and put up his hood before making ghost like noise taunting Harry. Hermione took him away and snarled at me. "Oh, the beaver has sass," I teased making everyone laugh. Hagrid whistled causing our attention to go to him and the beast he had. "Everyone, meet Buckbeak," Hagrid introduced. "A Hippogriff, o' course. Now, firs' thing yeh gotta know is they're proud. Easily offended, Hippogriffs are. Don't never insult one, 'cause it migh' be the las' thing yeh do." I wasn't gonna lie, Buckbeak was very beautiful. I tried getting on my toes to try to get a better look over the crowd. "You want to see him?" Draco asked. "Yes, please," I replied. "You heard her," Draco said to the group of boys and then cleared a way for us near a stone.
"I could get used to that," I smirked, sitting up on the wall to watch the scene. "Right then -- who wants ter come an' say hello?" Hagrid asked. Everyone stepped back except for Harry, who Hagrid picked. Draco took a bite of the apple he had while watching the scene. Believe it or not, Harry was able to pet the hippogriff. "Look at that! I reckon he migh' let yeh ride 'im!" Hagrid said. "What?" Harry questioned then Hagrid lifted him up onto the beast and set him off. "Woah," I said watching it happen. "That's... kinda cool." "Please," Draco scoffed. "What?" I questioned then smirked. "Jealous?" I took his apple and bit the other side of it as Harry came back with the beast. "Brilliant, Harry!" Hagrid smiled helping him off. The class applauded causing Draco to scoff and make his way through the crowd. "Please," He spoke.
I got up worried and threw the apple aside, watching him approach Buckbeak. "You're not dangerous at all, you great ugly brute," Draco said. Buckbeack started getting riled up, I concentrated very hard and as Buckbeak was about to attack Draco -- the world paused. I went up to Draco and tutted before getting an idea, I smirked then readied my actions before playing the world again. As Buckbeak was about to swoop it's claw down, I pushed Draco out of the way so I would take the blow. I fell on the ground, causing everyone to gasp. "That thing hurt her!" "Get her to safety!" People shouted. Draco looked at me and I passed him a wink, then continued to pretend to be in pain. They took me to the hospital wing, sending word to my father that I've been injured by a hippogriff.
He'll know I have something planned, people left me flowers and candies throughout the day. "Why did you do that?" Draco asked, he was visiting me in the hospital wing. "Oh, to make Potter's life harder," I smirked. "Hagrid will get in trouble and Harry will suffer, I already told my father. He agrees that it was a great plan." "I'm glad you're not actually hurt," Draco said. "Which reminds me," I spoke then hit his arm. "Ow," Draco winced holding the place I hit. "Why would you think it's a good idea to do that?" I spat. "That's something the stupid love sick morons would do." "I know," Draco huffed. "I know it was stupid of me to do that, but I didn't like the way you were so... impressed by Potter. I just-" "Wanted to impress me?" I questioned. "Yes, I'm so sorry," Draco apologized, grabbing my hand.
I looked at our hands in a bit of surprise, it was so warm. It felt perfect to have him holding my hand, like how I imagined the sun would feel after a cold day. I looked up and Draco, smiling lightly, "It's okay, next time don't be stupid." Draco nodded and pulled his hand back, making mine feel empty in a way, like it needed his touch. "You want to go to the common room?" Draco asked. "I don't know, my arm kinda hurts," I joked. Draco gave me a look and I gave him a fake pout making him sigh, "Would you like me to carry your bag?" "Yes, I would love that," I smiled cheekily. Draco smiled then grabbed my bag as we walked down the corridors together, he started talking about some random thing as I just stared at him.

"Do you believe in destiny?" I sang in a daydream. "Close your eyes and leave the rest to me... Do you believe in fantasy? I have to when it's right in front of me, oh." I turned so my body was towards him as I walked backwards. "What are you doing here? In the real world. What are you doing here? So close I could touch you," I sang. "What are you doing here? And what are you doing to me?" I turned back to my old position and Draco spoke, "Did you say something?" I hesitated for a second then spoke, "No." Draco smiled at me then we kept walking together.
