051: Atonement - Part 1

Everything was peaceful for Kai that afternoon as he slouched under the roofed structure on their school's rooftop until a very annoying voice yelled, "Shut the fuck up and come down!"

"Fuck off!" Said Kai, sounding equally annoyed at Soyeon who was huffing and puffing. Probably from running upstairs like a madwoman.

"Hazel fainted."

Kai hastily scrambled to his feet, "What!"

He couldn't ask more as Soyeon yanked him by his hand and raced downstairs.

"Why are you calling me? What's everyone else doing?" Kai asked, racing alongside her in the corridor.

"Good question. You're supposed to carry her before Chanyeol does."

Kai instantly recoiled his wrist from her clutch. "Excuse me?"

"I swear this is the only opportunity you'll ever get," she warned before again pulling him along until they reached the cafeteria table where Ahra, Chaerin, Jangmi and a very fine looking Hazel sat munching their lunch.

"Kai, you're here!" Greeted Jangmi who was sitting at one end of the rectangular table and he didn't pay her his slightest attention.

"You said you were going to the washroom, Soyeon. Did y'all both meet in the washroom?" Ahra cooed from the other end of the table.

Chaerin giggled, nudging Hazel; the two were sitting beside each other to the right of the table.

"Repeat what you said." Kai quirked an eyebrow at Ahra for her offensive joke.

"That's gross," Soyeon shook her head and settled on one of the three empty seats to the left of the table. "What are you looking at? Sit." She motioned Kai to the seat beside hers.

Kai's head snapped from Ahra to Soyeon. "Excuse me?" his lips slightly parted in disbelief.

"Are you deaf or something?" Soyeon asked back and the girls started to chuckle.

"You lied." He eyed Soyeon threateningly.

"Would you have come if I said you were getting free food?" Scoffed Soyeon.

Kai turned to go.

Soyeon rested her elbows on the table and began, "This boy is so shy. You know, he doesn't have his lun--"

Kai hurriedly stopped her annoying mouth by clamping a hand over it.

Chaerin gasped dramatically, "I didn't know you were a shy boy."

"I'm not! " He immediately retorted.

"Prove it." Soyeon demanded him by gesturing to the seat with her eyes.

Hazel watched in awe as Kai was unknowingly letting himself get bullied by Soyeon. He reluctantly pulled the seat with a loud squeak and settled on it, his eyes never meeting any of the girls at the table (expect Soyeon who occasionally received his death glares).
