"Do you really have to go?" Hazel asked, standing at the door.

"I don't want to miss this class." Kyungsoo replied, trying his shoe laces.

Hazel pressed her lips into a thin line and nodded. "All right, bye," she let out and Kyungsoo went out of the gate. "Sing well! Come home soon.”

Kyungsoo promptly kept walking without sparing a glance, leaving Hazel to her sad thoughts. She was supposed to attend school but had decided to take a day off. She had woken up in the morning with a stuffy nose from all the emotional turbulence yesterday night. Kyungsoo's parents had gone for work, leaving her by herself. She had spent time loitering in Kyungsoo's house, reading novels and hoped to spend time with Kyungsoo as soon as he arrived from school in the evening. However, something about him seemed off.

Sauntering out of Kyungsoo's house, Hazel stared at the evening sky that had a cacophony of soothing colours. It was a perfect weather to head out, though alone.

As she ransacked her suitcase for the perfect outfit, she came across something unusual. I didn't return this to him, she thought, pulling out a leather jacket which Kai had given to her on the day of the race.

In order to treat them Kai and Baekhyun lavishly, she bought macarons, doughnuts, tteobeokki and fried chicken hoping that it would satisfy them from a nearby food shop on her way to Kai’s garage.

"If you're looking for Kai, he's not here," said a rogue looking, burly man who was sitting in front of the garage. The man then gave her directions to the place where Kai was.

"Little Angels Orphanage," the board read. A lively looking middle aged woman approached her. "Welcome dear, you're here for volunteering I assume."

"Yes, I would love to," Hazel said cheerfully. Kids merrily played around. She was surprised and curious to see what the 'bullies' had to do at an orphanage.

"Just a minute, I'll get the forms."

She scanned the place and found Baekhyun, who fit well amongst the miniature beings.

"Anyone wanting to ride on an elephant?" Baekhyun asked.

The kids rushed for their chance to get a piggyback.

"Who wants to sit on me while I do push-ups?" asked a gleaming Kai, who suddenly appeared out of nowhere.

The kids now rushed to Kai.

She stood there, enjoying the sight of kids jumping excitedly each time the duo came up with a new game. It seemed like the two had challenged each other to see who sought the most attention of the kids.

He never fails to surprise me, Hazel thought. Each time she saw Kai, he displayed a completely different side of his that intrigued her.

Kai sat crouched next to a little girl. She was wiping the tears off her apple round cheeks. He nestled her in his arms and reached out to grab a stuffed teddy bear from the wooden shelf. He put her back down, holding the teddy high up in the air. The little girl watched with her big, expressive eyes as he lowered the toy to her level and high up again. Her sobs slowly came to a standstill when Kai extended the stuffed teddy which the little girl took with both hands. Kai watched smiling as she bounced on her tippy toes gleefully.
