Hazel looked around only to know that Soyeon wasn't beside her.
"How did you and that girl become friends anyway?" Jangmi asked.

"Oh, Soyeon and I? We casually got to know each other." Hazel said. "Why?"

"She looks boring and you're so much fun." Jangmi took a sip of the juice. "You two are like polar opposites."

"Well, opposites do attract." Hazel replied with a smug smile, earning chuckles from the girls standing beside.

Jangmi's eyes twinkled, observing the expensive tiara circling her hair bun. Out of curiosity, she extended her hand.

"This," she mumbled, moving her fingers along the Baroque pearls furnishing the tiara, "It's beautiful." She complimented, nodding her head.

"Erm...this is Vintage Gold." Hazel told, moving her head backwards as the latter tried to yank it off her hair bun.

"Excuse me ladies," A tall guy in Fawkes mask approached causing the girls to move away.

"Sorry for the interruption, but may I have the hand of this fair maiden." He extended a palm towards Hazel.

The girls exchanged surprised looks as they watched the guy take her hand in his and march towards the dance floor.

"Fair maiden," scorned Hazel with a mischievous laugh. "Nice try, Yeol."

"You recognized me?" Chanyeol removed his mask, brushing his curly bangs with a palm.

"Come on! Your height can't go unrecognized." She looked up at him smirking. "Also, only I know what you smell like."

Chanyeol narrowed his eyes. "Do you realize how wrong that sounded?"

"No," Hazel shook her head. "I only meant that I recognized your perfume."

"Like Toben!" He squealed as she smacked his arm.

"I was waiting for your girly talks to end but it looked never ending." He complained. "Man, I thought I could play around for once."

"Aw, don't worry. You can still play around." She mocked back.

"Ha. Very funny." He rolled his eyes. "Damn those heels! You seem so tall."

"Thanks," she grinned. "But you need to be more generous. No comments on my dress?"

"Well, what do I say..." His brows creased. "Beautiful, my Princess."

"Thank you handsome Prince." She chuckled. "I like it cheesy."

"Nah, I was actually thinking that you're dumb to be wearing this when it's freezing cold." He smirked.

"But you're here to give me warmth." She linked her arms with him.

Surprisingly, he pulled away. "God, stop. We need to practice the pair dance, remember?"
