Hazel didn't want it. Yet, avoiding him was not possible. Even though she had willed her mind and lied to herself a several times that she didn't want him, she knew she was only trying to deceive herself. At the moment, sitting in the front passenger seat of the taxi while heading to his apartment, her mind was full of unanswered questions, heart filled with despair as she longed for someone she can never have - Mr. Oh.
It was almost early evening, when all of them had left the mall. Kai handed over his shopping bags to Baekhyun and promised the latter that he'd be in his house by night. Sitting in the backseat, he had a hard time coaxing the information from Chanyeol who was replying in phrases.
"Then, after the car incident...that night... they broke up."
"So, uh.." Kai started, tapping his foot. He tilted his head to look at Chanyeol, "They did 'it'?"
"You just can't ask like that!" Chanyeol hissed slapping him on his arm, looking at Hazel's fiery eyes from the rear view mirror.
Kai pulled his ear making the latter wince. And soon both were back to acting like four year olds, hitting and pulling each other's hair.
"Guys! Shh!" Hazel looked at them in horror, waving the phone in her hand. "Hello mom."
"What time is it now?" Bianca spoke over the call.
She kept silent.
"When will you be back?"
"It'll take sometime mom," she bit her lip in worry.

Hazel's grip on the phone loosened, her eyes widening, "Uh, yeah..." she turned back to look at the boys who were holding their breath to not make a noise.
"Soyeon, here," she said, gesturing the phone towards Kai.
Kai froze. "Me?" he mouthed, pointing to himself as though his soul just left his body. "Hello."
Chanyeol clamped a hand over his mouth to stop himself from cackling as he heard Kai miserably imitate the voice of a girl.
"How are you dear?" Bianca asked.
"I'm fine, aunty."
"How long will it take? Are y'all planning to come anytime soon? It's getting late here."
