"Please, Kyungsoo." Hazel pleaded with hands clasped. "This is the only day before school reopens."

"So?" He asked, quizzically.

"I want to make use of this day...enjoying. I don't want to come to music class." She pouted cutely making his heart take a leap.

"You sure you'll be good by yourself," Kyungsoo asked, worriedly.

"Yes, absolutely." Hazel nodded vigorously, her eyes like an innocent puppy and hands intertwined behind her back.

"Alright." Kyungsoo smiled, adjusting the strap of guitar over his shoulder, "but make sure to come under this," he pointed at the concave mirror by the street, "I'll call you when my music class gets over and we'll meet at this point. From here, we'll go home together, okay?"

"Okay," she grinned.

"Careful!" He shouted, watching her hop her way cheerfully down the streets until she vanished taking a detour along a sharp curve.

Kyungsoo felt his stomach clench at the thought of leaving her alone. Of course, she was a sixteen year old who could take care of herself. Also, she had her phone in hand. But if Bianca got to know of this, she would definitely get furious. Hazel was everyone's sweet, small child. Kyungsoo had taken Bianca's permission to take Hazel along with him to his music class. However, Hazel insisted that she went window-shopping in the streets, alone. And since this was her first ever request to him after she'd gotten here, he couldn't refuse.

Hazel got her freedom.

Even if it was a meagre thing – walking in the streets alone – it was still a big achievement for her. The sun was sinking behind the horizon, casting hues of yellow and orange on the sky. Her eyes flitted past the different shops and stores, the flower pots kept in front of them, the pink and yellow flowers growing on the sidewalk, the unlit lamp-posts coming into view after every two shops, and one handsome boy standing behind the counter.

She paused in her tracks, observing the boy on the other side of the ground-length glass window, wearing a bandana around his forehead and chewing a gum. For some reason, this cool, handsome boy whose metal ringed fingers were arranging lollipops into jars caught her attention – so much that she had to visit his shop.

The bell of the store chimed and Kai, who was standing behind the counter, found his gaze lingering for more than a moment on the girl who had just entered. The girl's hazel green eyes passed a glance at him. He surveyed her feminine curves before noticing her hips that swayed as she walked down the aisles. Kai was not exactly horrifying to look at, but he was a rogue and had the manners of a prick, whose hands were as rough as the bark of a tree. He rarely put a comb to his hair. His clothes were always a crumpled mess, save for the fancy accessories he used to cover up for his lack of fashion. And he was no lover. Kai was no sweet-talker. Girls liked shit like that. This hazel-eyed girl looked rich and she would never like him. He usually never cared about shit like that. Then why the fuck was he thinking now? Kai shook his head and went back to scrolling through his phone.
