Chapter 8: You Thought Wrong

3rd Person

Meowscles fell to his knees, wishing he would just die too. He whimpered as he crawled to the side of Midas's bed. Midas was very still, but breathing. Brutus came in and gasped, "D-did he...?" Meowscles nodded and burst into tears. Brutus came up beside Midas's bed and whispered, "You were a good boss....." He quietly cried but tried to hide his face, he thinks he's an ugly crier. Meowscles left the room quickly and ran to his room, holding in all the feelings that he felt.

He slammed his door, then sobbed. He curled up in his cat bed. Brutus just stood there and then he heard hope, "t...t-tell him t-to come back.." Midas whispered. Brutus looked up and burst into tears, "Midas!" Midas meekly smiled and nodded, half lidded eyes. Brutus saw that Meowscles had left his rag that stuck out of his back pocket, on the floor. Brutus grinned and in a cry-ish voice he said, "Meowscles! You left your rag in here!" Meowscles got up and walked back in there.

He got on his knees again and just froze at the side of Midas's bed. Midas reached out and put his hand on top of Meowscles head. Meowscles purred and Midas scratched right in the spot he loves. Meowscles then realized what the hell was happening and leaped back. Clutching his chest, not sure of what to think. Midas smiled softly again and said, "Hi babe....How's it goin'?" Meowscles leaped on to the bed, dodging Midas's arm and started to kiss him all of the face. Midas giggled and patted his back. Meowscles buried his face in Midas's chest, tears escaping.

Midas was slow at moving but he finally reached Meowscles head and petted him. Midas coughed and Meowscles got up, rage coursing through his body. "Who did this to you?" Midas shook his head, he was out of it, "I fell.." Meowscles almost laughed, "There is no way you fell and THAT  happened." Midas winced and looked away. Meowscles sighed and said, "Babe...please tell me..They need to suffer...I almost lost you Midas, do you know what would happen to me...?" Midas slowly shaked his head, not really wanting to hear what would happen.

Meowscles teared up and said, "I would be joining you..." Midas's eyes widen and looked back Meowscles, "You mean that you would...Kill your self?" Meowscles nodded and bit his hand. Brutus knocked on the door and said, "Hey ummm, there's two people out here that need to see Meowscles..." Midas nodded and motioned Meowscles to the door. Meowscles stepped out and saw two people standing there. "Meowscles, Mysterious...Mysterious, Meowscles." They shook hands and Meowscles smiled and said, "Nice to meet you Mysterious!" Mysterious smiled and said, "Nice to meet you too Meowscles!"

 Meowscles smiled and turned to the other person, "And you are?" The other Agent looked at him and said, "Hi! Im Monika!" Meowscles shook their hand too and they started to talk. They went down stairs and Meowscles asked, "So why are you here?" Mysterious got nervous suddenly but went ahead and said, "I came cause I wanted to be an Agent..." Monika nodded with her.

Meowscles nodded and said, "Since Boss is recovering, we could use you guys.." He was thinking but Monika spoke up, "What happened to him?" Meowscles face darkened and said, "He was attacked...." Mysterious made a face, "Who attacked him?" "Thats the point, we don't know and Midas won't tell us.." Brutus said. Mysterious nodded, "What does the wounds look like?" Monkia butted in, "I bet it was Lynx.." "Yeah! Wasn't she chasing him earlier?" Mysterious asked, looking at Monika. Meowscles whipped his head and narrowed his eyes, "Lynx?" He growled. Mysterious nodded and stroked her chin thoughtfully.

Monika said, "Wait, doesn't she work at the store, like a couple miles from here?" Mysterious nodded and said, "Yeah..." Meowscles said, "Well...It seems you guys know a lot..So what do you know about the Agency?" Mysterious and Monika blushed slightly. Monkia said, "Well that's why we came...We've seen what happened...Thats why we decided that Lynx needs to burn in the depths of hell." Mysterious nodded aggressively. Meowscles said, "I'm hope I'm not being hard on you guys but, you mind going on a mission with me~?" Mysterious smiled and said, "Killing lynx??" Meowscles laughed and nodded. 

Monika jumped up and grabbed a knife and an AR-15. Mysterious got up and grabbed a Minigun, Brutus gave it to her. Meowscles grabbed Midas's drumgun, Meowscles knows that Midas wants to kill her, so, he'll kill her with the drumgun. They left quickly after that, heading to the boats. Monika was skipping and Mysterious was muttering under her breath of ways to kill lynx. They got in the boat and went to the gas station nearby. Meowscles was the first out, then, Monika and Mysterious got out at the same time, they both giggled at that.

Then as if a 'Serious switch' was flipped, they both went dark and shady. They walked in and Lynx was behind the counter, on her phone. She looked up and said, "Oh! Hey guys!" She mainly focused her eyes on Meowscles though...She's a simp. Monika had an evil grin on her face, Mysterious was leaning against the door way, shadows over her eyes. Lynx was growing nervous under the silence in the room. "How dare you hurt our Boss.." Monika said, grin fading. "The love of my life.." Meowscles growled. "Our friend..." Mysterious said, spinning a bullet on her finger tip.

Meowscles was the first one to make a move, he slashed across her throat. "Karma~." He purred. Monika threw knifes, pinning Lynx to the wall. Mysterious pulled out the Mini and rapid fired. Monika watched, eye's glint off the small orange and red light the Mini produced. Once Mysterious was done, she seemed satisfied. She blew on the Mini and slightly laughed. Meowscles stabbed her for good measures and they left, smiling and laughing.

Meowscles had blood splattered all over his face, he looked like a murderer. Mysterious and Monika were laughing and explaining the thrill they felt. When they got back to the Agency, Midas was up. Meowscles 'tsked' and picked Midas up, "What are you doing?" "I need t-to get w-work done...Is t-that blood?" He asked. Monika came skipping in, "Yessir!" Mysterious came walking in, handing Brutus his Minigun. Mysterious nodded and Brutus smiled and went to go put it back up. Meowscles carried Midas upstairs and laid him down.

Brutus asked if Mysterious and Monika wanted to watch a movie with him and the others and they nodded and sat on the couch and started to watch it.

Meowscles wrapped his arms around Midas in a death-like grip. Midas sighed and turned over were his face was in Meowscles floof. Meowscles purred and rested his chin on Midas's head.

"I love you Meowscles..."

"I love you too, Midas."
