Chapter 5: S p a g h e t t i

3rd Person

Midas woke up hours later with his stomach hurting. He got up and realized he was hungry. He stretched and yawned. There was small mew from behind him and he turned around and saw Meowscles staring up at him. Midas jumped, "Kinda forgot you were in here.." Meowscles nodded and got up too. Midas bent over and touched his toes, trying to pop his back. Meowscles purred and said,"I didn't know you could bend that far~." Midas smiled and said,"What, ya like what you see?" Meowscles meowed and said, "No..I love it~." Midas blushed and got his formal clothes on.

Meowscles just walked out of the room. Midas wonder what the heck he was doing then he realized that his room is not Meowscles room. Midas wondered down stairs and saw that Skye was cuddling TnTina, he felt his heart warm up. He saw Brutus and Maya outside, playing with Kitsune, their new pet fox. Midas looked at the time and realized it was 5 o'clock! Midas started to grab a pot from a cabinet. Maya came up and said, "Whatcha making?" Midas looked up and said, "Spaghetti and garlic bread?" Maya nodded and walked back outside.

Meowscles came down later, sweating. 'Must have been working out..' Midas thought and got noodles out and Preggo sauce. Meowscles wrapped his arms around Midas's waist and whispered in his ear, "Preggo sauce huh? That's what I'm going to make you~." Midas freezed up and said, "Meowscles, you flirt!" He meowed and then chuckled. Midas asked sweetly, "Hey Babe?" Meowscles hummed and Midas said, "Could you get the garlic bread out of the fridge?" Meowscles purred and replied, "Of course, Doll~." Now, they have started a 'Nickname' war. They'll call each other a cute nickname and try to make one blush or give in.

Midas is very good at this, but Meowscles knows his weakness. So they cooked together. Midas would keep calling Meowscles babe, Meowscles changed it up every now and then. Meowscles called him, "Sweetheart~" But Midas didn't even react. Meowscles growled, he thought one would work. Midas turned and said, "Sugar pie~" But what triggered Meowscles was accent he used, it was deep and country like. Meowscles went deep red and Midas giggled, " I win!" Meowscles mewed and bowed, "Good job!"

Midas finished everything up and sat the plates down and called everyone into the dining room. Everyone, of course, came in and sat down. They started to talk about different things and Midas stayed quiet. Everyone realized that Midas was very quiet, so they went quiet. He wasn't really eating..He was more sitting and poking it like an dead animal. Meowcles, who was sitting right next to him, put his hand on his thigh, "Are you ok Midas?" He nodded and took a small nibble off of his garlic bread.

Meowscles was getting worried. He's never seen Midas act like this before. He looked at everyone else, they had this look like they knew something he didn't. He growled and said, "What's going on here..?" Skye shook her head and mouthed, 'I'll tell you later'. Meowscles nodded and finished his dinner. Brutus did the dishes and Midas went upstairs, not saying anything to anyone. Midas would normally say something like, "See ya guys!" Or say (If someone else made dinner) "Thanks for dinner!" But today...He said nothing.

Meowscles sat down next to Skye and she said, "Midas...Has depression..And since you showed him the love he's never had, his heart shut's down and he freaks out...He's been crying lately because he's afraid he'll lose you...Meowscles, are you ok?" Meowscles had tears rolling down his cheeks. "Why hasn't he told me?" She looked at him and said, "Like I said before, he's afraid to lose you Meowscles...It's like he was at sea and it was dark and stormy, looking for land. You were his light house...His sign of hope.." (KenziKat...EndMeFuk, you hearin' this??) 

Meowscles nodded, not sure on what to say at this point. Skye patted his back, like he just lost a good friend. He got up and quietly walked up the stairs, wondering if he should go and comfort Midas or just go to his room. Comforting Midas got the better of him and he walked to Midas's room and softly knocked on the door. There was no 'Come in.' It was quite. Meowscles grabbed the door knob and twisted it, it was unlocked. Meowscles stepped in and saw that Midas was nowhere to be seen. Meowscles looked around frantically. He raced down the hall and down the stairs.

"GUYS, MIDAS IS NOT IN HIS ROOM!" TnTina jumped up and ran outside, Skye ran upstairs and Brutus started to look around, "Midas!" They called out but there was no answer. Meowscles ran upstairs and to the steps that led to the roof. He burst out and Midas was sitting on the edge of the Agency. He was swinging his legs back and forth, back and forth, back and forth. "M-Midas?" Meowscles stuttered out, not wanting to scaring him. Then he realized that the door bursting open probably scared him, and he didn't flinch.

Midas quietly said, "What do you need Meowscles?"  "I need you...Please don't Midas, I'm begging you...I can't live without you..Please, just get back from the edge..Please." Meowscles saw the tear that fell from Midas's face, glinting off the moon light. Meowscles wanted to wrap his arms around him but thats impossible without Midas falling off. So all Meowscles could do was hope and pray that Midas wasn't serious. Meowscles put on his High Caliber backbling. He made them bigger so they actually function, just in case.

Midas sighed and said, "Meowscles..Why do you love me?" Meowscles was caught off guard by that question. "Cause Midas...I love you cause you deserve it..I love you cause at all the times I lost my damn mind cause I was angry, you would help me find it and try to calm down....Midas..I love you cause I always have." He heard Midas sniff and clench the edge of the building. "Please Midas." Midas shook his head and sighed, "Your just saying that so I'll get do-" "-No I'm not! Midas please listen to me!" At this point Meowscles started to sob, he needed Midas in his life, not out of it.

Midas was startled by the sudden outburst and turned around and looked at Meowscles, his eyes softened. Meowscles was pissed at this point, he couldn't believe that Midas would such a thing...Go jumping off a building because he's getting loved all the sudden! It was bullshit to Meowscles. Midas got up and walked over to Meowscles, tripping cause of his blurred vision. Meowscles stepped back, he was angry and didn't want to lash out at Midas.Midas was confused and tried to reach to him. Meowscles shook his head, The High Caliber wings were shaking on his back, he was getting to angry.

He called Skye and she came up quickly, hearing the anger in his voice. He said, "Take Midas back to his room and guard it, I'm..taking a break." He ran to the edge and took a swan dive off. Midas didn't see the wings so he thought Meowscles just killed himself. He screamed out but Skye had a hold of his arm, firm grip. Midas was shaking and balling his eyes out. Skye took him inside and took him to his room. He grabbed the door frame and held himself there. Skye grunted and said, "Midas, cmon! He's not dead! He had wings on! He's fine, now get in your room!"

Midas let go and stumbled into his room. He felt horrible for what he did...He shouldn't play with Meowscles like that..It was heartless and crude. Midas was laying on his bed, on his side, crying. He hoping that Meowscles would come back soon....The bed is cold without him.
