Sage's POV

For the last two weeks my stitches have been healing surprisingly well and very quickly for how large and deep the wound was. Probably because two very intimidating and persuasive women worked together and forced me to stay in bed for most of the day. Their tactics ranged from never leaving me alone for longer than a few hours, forcibly pushing me back down, or sending me their signature scary glares. Either way their plan worked and instead of having another week of recovery Abby said everything was healed enough for me to start walking around again. Although training would be another week or two. But that didn't bother Lexa at all. She didn't need to train me that badly, she needed my help with Clarke. While recovering for the last two weeks the commander came into my room for private meetings about what to do with the uncooperative blonde. Every attempt to talk to her was met with screaming and sometimes she even had the balls to try and attack her, but her physical attacks never worked. Only Indra and I could come close to beating her. Definitely not an enraged Clarke who fought with anger and never planned out her attacks properly. Because of the difficult situation we decided that leaving her alone for a while would do the trick and today was the day that we both would visit her. Thinking the time alone gave her time to reflect. Before with my recovery and a very protective girlfriend hovering by my side at every moment we couldn't slip away to do this but she went back to Arkadia to see her brother for the first time in days. This gave us the opportunity to talk to her and hopefully my presence will get her to listen to Lexa. If not then we're back to square one, which would then have the both of us annoyed beyond measure. She's been out in the woods for months without much human contact and living by her own rules. Which in my eyes means she's even more stubborn.

Standing outside the door Lexa decides to go in first without me to see how the woman would react. Within seconds of the door closing her distaste for the commander's presence is made known, she wants to be left alone again. But that's not an option. "I respected your wishes for a week Clarke. But we have bigger concerns. One's that hurt your friend." Taking it as my cue to walk in I painfully push on the door and walk into the room while holding my side. Immediately both women turn towards me and a flash of concern shows on both of their faces, but soon enough they both push their feelings down. Looking away from me is the only way Clarke is able to continue dismissing what important matters we have to discuss with her. The mear mentioning of me getting hurt in some way almost breaking her resolve. Which was our plan all along, and it failed. "We don't share any concerns at all," she says coldly. Knowing tonight is the summit that Skaikru is present there's only one last chance for us to get her back on our side. After tonight she might refuse to come back to the capital since we'll be letting her go. Obviously that surprises her because the commander used a lot of resources and went through a lot of unnecessary trouble just to find her. Letting her go seems like a waste, but it isn't at all. Instead her capture and release is a strategic move. She'll be a lot safer behind the walls of her own people than staying here in the capital where Azgeda has been defying orders and attacking her warriors. The attack on me is the latest and most brutal example of this, and it's why we're letting her leave. If I wasn't attacked then Lexa would force her to stay here but that isn't an option, her warriors and guards would be spread too thin with us all here. Unless the blonde suddenly started to work with us. Talking about her capture and release sparks an argument between the two and in the meantime I just stand back and listen to them bicker like an old married couple. Yelling randomly isn't part of my recovery and would easily reveal my secret to Clarke. Tensing up still bothered my stitches way too much even though they're practically completely healed.  So picking when to enter the argument perfectly became increasingly important as time went on. However so far Lexa seemed to be doing well, she's shielded her feelings for the woman away and has stood strong and firm in what she wants from her. But since the blonde is a wildcard, so is her argument style, and she's pulling out all of the stops. "I know why you're here. I made you look weak and the Ice Nation is exploiting that. So if you want the power of Wanheda. Take it by killing me. Because there's no way in hell that I'll ever bow before you." With that outburst and the arrival of the diplomats from the other clans we had no choice to leave her. Although she definitely took it as a victory, but after the meeting we have, she'll regret thinking that way.
