Sage's POV
"Sage?" She doesn't move a muscle and either she's surprised to see me or is scared to approach me because the last time I saw her she knocked me out. I take her by surprise when I pull her into a hug and a quiet sigh of relief can be heard. "I thought you'd be mad at me. After what I did in your cell and what Marcus did I-" I cut her off by telling her that the only person I'm mad at is my father, not her. What happened on the Arc needed to be done and honestly I'm happy she knocked me out because if I got my hands on my father both of us would be dead. She lets out another sigh of relief making me laugh. When she notices Octavia standing right behind me and watching my every move she gives me a knowing look, making my blush profusely. Our reunion is cut short when she's called into medical and then an emergency meeting but she promises to come find me later so we can talk. She probably wants to talk to me about Octavia along with my father and I so wish the last conversation in particular never happens. A few guards come over and take our things and we're left all alone. For a while. Then out of nowhere someone with blonde hair crashes into Bellamy almost knocking him over in a tight hug before giving Octavia and I our own. "Now there's something I thought I'd never see," Octavia whispers. It's true, before any of this you couldn't convince me that Clarke and Bellamy would be so worried about each other. But now there's a problem. Finn is going on a rampage because of this girl and she's here, not being held by a group of grounders. Raven finally makes her way over but the obvious limp she has makes me frown. The bullet that hit her made her lose feeling in her whole left leg and without her brace she's unable to walk. She tells us that they're going into the meeting now to talk about what to do next and all of us rush over to wait outside so we can ask Abby what they plan on doing as soon as it's over. While we wait Octavia and I slump to the floor from exhaustion, I haven't slept in two days and she's still recovering from the poison. According to Lincoln she'll feel like shit for a while. She pats her lap and has me lay my head down so I can get more comfortable and she can play with my hair, something we recently learned instantly makes me fall asleep.
"I know you feel this is unfair but our priority has to be with Chancellor Kane if there is any hope for peace." As soon as I hear that I pop up and scream, "I'm sorry what!? Chancellor Kane?" No one turns towards me and instead continues to listen to the argument that's unfolding in front of us. This is my worst nightmare. Now that he's chancellor he can actually kill me off. He can do whatever he wants with no one having the power to stop him. The argument about going to get Finn and Murphy quickly melts away as my heart rate picks up drastically and I start to hyperventilate. No one but Octavia notices and she quietly calms me down by pulling me into her, allowing me to start copying her breathing pattern. This does the trick and soon I can pay attention to the argument yet again. On top of basically abandoning Finn and Murphy now that she knows Clarke is safe the guards also killed the only grounder willing to help us. This makes Abby freeze because she got caught using her privilege to her advantage and as soon as she has what she wants the collateral damage doesn't matter. Jackson calls her to medical and since she cannot trust that we will stay she has Byrne lock down camp completely and now none of us can leave. That's when finally Clarke tells me about how Jaha sacrificed himself so the others could safely come down here and since my father is second in command he automatically became chancellor. She also knows why I'm worried and tells everyone what he did when I was arrested just so when we get back and he's here that they all are ready to protect me. Once that's over we have to find a way out of here so we can stop Finn and with the camp on lockdown. Well that at least means we can't leave through the front gate and of course Raven has a plan already completely set up for us. Leading us to a spot on the fence she tells us she'll get her friend to shut it off long enough for us to slip out on top of handing us guns. No one else knows the terrain like Octavia and I do and without question Bellamy actually allows his sister to come along, well after I told him she knew the land a little better than I did. After slipping away without the guards seeing us our only worry is now getting to Finn before he does something he regrets, because based off of his recent actions, it'll be bad. While we walk anything and everything over the last few days is discussed so we're finally all caught up and most importantly Octavia and I understand the Arc's laws are under full effect once again. Soon after we start walking it becomes dark out and since we got deep into grounder territory by now we have no choice but to stop to make camp. The only one mad about this was Bellamy but he quickly got over it once his sister told him the Reaper trail was ahead.
