Sage's POV
Although our little moment distracted us for a while it was still obvious Octavia was extremely worried about her brother and Lincoln. While laying down she keeps tracing patterns across my stomach at a very fast rate and I can feel her twitching her foot under the covers. She isn't handling this well at all and I'm just happy that she had her mind off of it for a moment of two. I'm also surprised she hasn't jumped up from bed yet and ran down to the mechanic room to check up on Raven to see if she has any updates. But I knew the moment I thought about it then it would happen. "Hey, can we go check up on Raven?" She looks at me with a pout as if I would deny her request. On the outside I've been good at hiding how worried I am but on the inside I'm also on edge just like she is. I just want to keep a level head for her, so at least there's someone with a calm and collected energy around here, which has become a rarity over the last week. To make it even more clear that I also want to go I'm the first one to climb out of bed and throw all of our clothes on the bed to sort through. After the rest of the Arc came crashing down she was able to find clothes that fit her better but they still look exactly like mine, she probably absentmindedly matched with me. In a blink of an eye she has all of her clothes back on and she drags me out of the room the second I pull my jacket on, leaving me little time to grab my sword. "Geez was I that bad that you want to run out of here," I joke with her. She slows down and punches my shoulder lightly, making sure to reassure me that wasn't the case just in case I actually felt that way. Usually she would catch on that it was a joke right away and the fact she hasn't yet makes me even more worried. We just got Lincoln back from being a Reaper and now he had to go back to the mountain where it all happened on top of her brother trying to sneak in. Before we walk into the mechanic room I stop her and take one last opportunity to check up on her, making her look extremely confused. "I just want to make sure you're okay. You've been really stressed out lately and I just get worried when I'm gone for a long time and can't be here to calm you down." It's quite obvious that she isn't but I just want to make sure that she's not about to have a total breakdown or anything of that sort and for once the answer she provides makes my own nerves go away. "I just want all of this to be over with. You know I hate waiting around," she says while looking me in the eyes to make sure I completely understand what she's telling me. After looking her once over again I step to the side to let her walk into the room ahead of me but not before giving her a quick kiss on the cheek, something that still makes her blush profusely.
"Raven! Any word from Bellamy?" Her sudden outburst breaks the mechanic and Clarke out of their conversation and receives a sad and nervous shake of the head. "Lincoln's still missing too. He should be back by now," she continues. Her nervousness on display once again. This time Clarke joins in on trying to calm her down while Raven stares blankly at something sitting on the table in front of her. There's an awkward tension in the air that Octavia and I seemingly walked into unknowingly and knowing the two women something must've happened or is about to. Ever since Finn died they haven't gotten along well, even if Clarke did do the right thing. But thankfully the awkward tension dissipates when someone starts talking over the Arc's PA system. "Councilor Kane, Clarke Griffin, Octavia Blake, and Sage Kane please report to the South air lock immediately." Octavia and I weren't called there yesterday so when we hear our names called we look over at the blonde to see how she reacts but her face immediately hardens. She tells Raven she'll be back later to talk and walks out without another word. Carefully we walk behind her not understanding why we needed to be there but once we arrive it sort of becomes obvious. No one could find Octavia and I so they just decided to call us down here knowing we'd be together but also the news Abby has is something we deserve to hear as well. Emmerson himself hasn't said anything but the multiple tests that Abby had Jackson run on his blood finally has and it isn't good at all. "Jackson found some genetic marker anomalies that can only come from someone who was born on the Arc," she says slowly. That means the harvesting of blood from our people in the mountain has already started and that we needed to be there days ago. Once the information sinks in the hallway becomes silent for a moment, until the sounds of Clarke struggling against my grip can be heard and me yelling at my dad to stand in front of the lever to the hatch. Now that it's officially known that they're bleeding our friends she has no care in the world to keep him alive and she's allowing her anger to cloud her judgement. "Clarke calm down," we both say in the exact same tone. What we said doesn't snap her back to reality and calm her down for now but it's how eerily similar the both of us sounded for once. When I can finally let her go Abby tells her once again that she isn't in charge here and that we're doing things her way, but that isn't what the blonde wants to hear. She storms away leaving Octavia and I standing there unsure of what to do. Either we go chasing after her or we stay. When my dad and Abby start arguing before we can even think of walking away our legs turn us around and practically run us back to the mechanic room.
