"it's really you..." hyunjin trailed off as he kept staring at the older boy who was now shivering lightly. the rest of the boys were just looking at them with furrowed eyebrows, not knowing what the hell was going on.

chan was worried. minho looked like he was on the verge of tears and the elder felt the need to hug him and protect him from anything that might bother him. even if that anything was one of his best friends.

"long time no see huh?" hyunjin chuckled bitterly and played with his fingers. he looked nostalgic and changbin noticed but decided not to say anything.

minho sniffled and opened his mouth to talk but no words could come out of his lips. he was too overwhelmed and a lump had formed in his throat, preventing him from talking.

hyunjin smiled and started approaching minho, placing his arms on the boy's shoulders once he got in front of him. "i missed you hyung." he said and that was enough for minho to break down completely and fall into hyunjin's arms, hugging him tightly while he sobbed on his chest.

the younger boy closed his eyes, trying to prevent his tears from falling and hugged the elder as well, rubbing his back soothingly with his hands.

he'd missed that. he'd missed minho. and minho had missed him too.

the other boys watched what had just unfolded in front of them in awe and pure confusion but they were still wondering what was happening.

chan and changbin were really tensed though. they didn't like seeing their loved ones hugging each other like this but they chose to not interfere as something serious had probably happened between the two. they didn't want to interrupt such an emotional moment for both of them.

after some minutes, minho calmed down but his grip on hyunjin's back was still too strong. hyunjin's arms were still wrapped around minho's torso tightly as well.

the rest of the boys just kept watching them silently and awkwardly. none of them knew what to do or say.

chan really wanted to ask what all this was but he'd feel bad if he ruined such a sentimental moment for his two friends so he just kept quiet too.

minho was the fist to pull away from the hug and he just stared at hyunjin's eyes with tears still threatening to fall. a small smile was placed on his lips and his arms were gripping on the taller boy's shoulders tightly.

"y-you've grown up." minho stuttered out and hyunjin just giggled, caressing minho's face with his one hand. "you've grown too hyung. you've grown so much."

minho's smile got even bigger and his gaze softened more. he was looking at the younger with so much adoration and chan could feel his blood boiling at this.

he was jealous. he wanted minho to look at him like that too.

hyunjin ruffled minho's hair and turned around, facing his boyfriend who was staring back at him with his bottom lip being chewed between his teeth. he was jealous as well and he definitely didn't like seeing his boyfriend being like this with someone else.

the younger of the two males cleared his throat and slipped his hand in minho's smaller one, intertwining their fingers together. "binnie" he started and changbin felt the world collapsing around him. he was almost one hundred percent sure that the younger was going to tell him that minho was his first love and now he wants him back or something like this and a wave of panic rose in him as he gulped nervously.

hyunjin continued. "do you remember my childhood friend? the one i was always talking about to you?"

changbin nodded silently. of course he remembered. hyunjin would never shut up when he started talking about him. he would ramble about him for hours until he got tired and fell asleep.

but one thing he remembered the most from all these things he had heard about him was that the boy had abandoned him one day and never came back, leaving hyunjin alone in a school he hated.

the boy snapped out of his thoughts when he felt someone grabbing his hand, that someone being hyunjin of course. "this is him binnie. minho's my childhood friend. my first ever friend that made me who i am today."
