chan and minho were both lying on the eldest's bed, having their arms around each other protectively. the younger had fallen asleep on chan's chest and the blonde boy was playing with minho's hair, while thinking about what he'd heard today about the boy's life.
he was still mad and shaken up from what he'd been told. his heart had broken into a million pieces and he really felt the need to cry. he had to hold back his pain and tears back in the beach because he needed to be strong for minho but now he couldn't hold them back anymore.
a tear rolled down on his cheek. and then another.
he was so sorry for everything minho had to go through even if it wasn't his fault. he felt responsible for some reason and he had no idea why. maybe it was because of his love for the boy? maybe it was because of how much he cared for minho despite only knowing him for some months?
chan hated feeling like this but he hated seeing minho being in such pain more. he hated that broken and pained look in minho's eyes. he hated feeling minho's body shaking so violently in his arms when he broke down at the beach. he hated all these stuff minho went through when he was just an innocent kid.
the boy's tears had gotten more and quiet sobs were now also leaving his lips. his body was shaking slightly and his grip on minho's body got tighter.
suddenly, a loud sob escaped chan's lips, causing minho to flinch and wake up. he was confused and kinda lost but when he met chan's teary eyes, his heart broke.
"hyung?"
chan looked at minho who had now woken up and was looking at him with a look of fear and confusion.
i woke him up! shit!
chan quickly wiped his tears and put on a small but fake smile. "hey min. sorry for waking you up. go back to sleep, you need some rest."
minho shook his head and placed his hand on chan's still trembling one. "no. i'm not going back to sleep. what's wrong? why were you crying?"
chan sighed and intertwined his fingers with minho's, bringing their linked hands on his lips and placing a soft peck on the boy's hand. "i'm just stressed out that's all. nothing to worry about."
of course minho didn't buy it. "you were crying because of me right?" the younger boy said quietly and looked down on his lap, avoiding chan's eyes. "i am the cause of your sadness once again."
"no! don't ever say that again!" chan denied immediately but minho just chuckled bitterly and looked at chan with a sad smile on his lips. "i knew dragging you in my messed up life was a bad idea. i shouldn't have let you enter it in the first place. i am just a worthless piece of shit and i don't deserve anyone's kindness. you are an angel, you've always been the nicest to me and now look at you! i ruined you! i made you sad! i made your life a mess! i should just leave. maybe you'll be able to be happy again after i leave you alone. i'm not worthy of someone like you-"
chan had enough. he couldn't stand listening to minho talking like this about himself anymore. he had to do something and stop him.
and he did something.
something he himself even didn't know he could do.
it was a dumb thing to do but chan never ever regretted it.
he grabbed minho's waist and pulled him on him, closing the distance between them with a soft but really loving kiss.
minho's lips felt so good on chan's lips. they fit perfectly together. it was like they were made for each other.
chan closed his eyes enjoying the kiss as much as he could. minho wasn't kissing him back. he was probably too shocked anyways.
the kiss lasted for almost a minute. chan didn't want to break it but he had to take a breath. he slowly pulled away, his arms still not leaving minho's waist and his eyes still closed. he was afraid of minho's reaction. but if he didn't like it then he would pull away right? minho didn't do anything so he probably didn't have any problem with it, right?
chan only hoped that this kiss wouldn't end their friendship, or whatever they had because he wouldn't be able to live without minho. he got too attached and now he couldn't imagine his life without the younger boy.
